Day Four-Monday 10/8

Up early again this morning-another windy, partly cloudy day in the 80s. Today is Animal Kingdom for the first time ever. What a beautiful park. We head right for Dinoland and our breakfast PS at Donald's Breakfasarous. This was one of my favorite buffets. The food was good-chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, donuts, muffins, bagels and cereal. Beware of the pratical jokes palyed by your servers!!
We meet safari Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Donald. My onyl complaint is that it took awhile for the characters to get to your table. My 1 yearold son is finally warming up the characters now, and they are so nice to him. Thye go very slow with him and give him a chance to check them out.

After we stuffed ourselves we head for the Boneyard to let the kids dig. Then we head to Dinosaur, pretty scarey ride. I was surpised my daughters were not crying at the end. Saw Trazan Rocks-great show. My son was dancing up a storm.
We then go visit the Tree of Life and take pictures of all the animals and see Tough to Be a Bug. Tip-dont sit in an end seat or you wont feel the bugs running at the end of the show. Man it stinks in there after the stink bug!

Africa time- we watched the flights of wonder (one of the birds got hurt) then we went on
safari butmost of the animals were sleeping. Still it was cool to see the elephants and giraffes. We then walk to Pangani Trial to see the gorillas. It was a pretty long walk and we were trying to hurry to see the 3pm parade. When we leave the trail, we are right at the beginning of the parade area. We grabbed a spot right by the gate the parade comes out of. This was my favorite parade. The floats are awesome and the musis had us all dancing (even the baby!). The baby was dancing so much in his stroller that all the characters were coming up to him and dancing with him! That was fun.
We hop the train to Rifiki Planet Watch. Train was okay but the conservation center was a little boring for the kids. The only animals to pet were stinky goats. One of the goats took my sister Laura's map and proceeded to eat it. My other sister Gail tried to wrestle it out of its mouth (I had to take a picture of that) and he ended up eating the Tree of Life section!
At the shop I have to buy Safari Mickey and Minnie (too cute) then we take the train back and head to Asia.

Well time is running out so we only have time for the water ride. Luckily we had the right seats and didnt get to wet. No time to see the tigers unforunately (that will have to wait until the trip someday). We end up coming back on Friday to see Lion King and Camp Minnie.
We drive back to WL and my sisters are babysitting the 1 year old tonight so we can take the girls to Hopp Dee Doo.

We take the bus over there in plenty of time for the 7:15 show. We had seats on the main floor, but near the kitchen. We LOVE this show. We were laughing so hard (maybe it was the beer and sangarias we were chugging??) Even my 8 and 4 years were laughing. We ate salad, bread, chicken, ribs, beans, corn and strawberry shortcake. They had a few patriotic songs that all got in the spirit. Back to WL to see the water parade, but it was cancelled again due the wind. We never did get to see it. Oh well we jump in the pool and then the hottub because it was a little chilly. Then off the bed.
Tomorrow-MGM

goes away hungry..it is their own fault.....it has something to offer everybody.....even my son in law who is a vegetarian....thanks so much for the report

Love your reports. We have never done the Hoop De Doo Musical Revue but hope to some day. What kind of food offerings do they have? We are picky eaters!! :)

I dont think the offer anything else other than the standard meal. I guess you could call and ask.
Everything was served in buckets and you got: salad, bread, fried chicken, ribs, corn, baked beans and strawberry shortcake. Drinks were unlimited; we had beer, soda and sangria.
The food was okay, not great, just like any other disney food, but the show is so great.
You should go!!
Janice

I hate to sound uncultured but what in the world is sangria??? Thanks!! Any mixed drinks available?

No mixed drinks were available, only beer, soda, wine and sangria.
Not quite sure what a sangria is, but it was similar to wine.
