Burgers for dinner at Sci-Fi?

I saw the opinion poll on this place. Good info. Anyone know if you can get the burgers and fries, rings and shakes for dinner? The menu I saw listed only fancier stuff for dinner. I wanted to make PS for next week dinner but DH will want the burger--and maybe me too. It is a drive-in after all.

We ate at Sci Fi on Wednesday night last week. It was the first time that I had been there. I wasn't thrilled with the dinner selection either. We nicely asked the waiter if we could look at the kids menu and he said no. He let us order burgers and fries off the lunch menu. So I'm sure they will do it for anyone who asks.

i don't know if you are planning on Fantasmic that day but I got a"lunch" ps for 3:55...the dinner one I had before was at 4 (which I didn't mind since we are going to fantasmic and pre schedule I thought it might be 6:30)so if you want to go 5 mins. earlier than some of the dinner ressies, I am figuring they pretty much have to let you order lunch.

I am wondering what will happen if we get seated late since I want to use a vkl.


edited cause I called wdwdine and they said whatever time your res. is for , that is what it counts as. so even If we get seated at 4:30, it is still"lunch "for us. just in case anyone but me wondered!

As Nancy Reagan said...."just say NO"! Do not entertain any thoughts of a meal here. The food is over-priced and average (at best). The ambiance is good and I recommend going for a dessert or a milkshake (which are good)....just not for a meal! There are so many better restaurants at WDW; don't waste your hard earned money here (for a meal).

We've heard a lot of good things about this restaurant from friends that have children the same age as our son. We made all of our PS with him in mind, and we're all very excited about having lunch at Sci-Fi.

We ate there last month and loved it. Our PS was for 5:15, IIRC, and our waiter (who was awesome) let us order burgers with baked potatoes (didn't want fries). I believe the price was $10.99. My burger, potato, and chocolate shake were all great.

The kids flat-out loved the place. We had to keep reminding them to eat, but had to get to-go boxes anyway, because they were so distracted by the screen. And some of the trailers for the cheesy sci-fi movies were absolutely hilarious with their terrible foam monsters. Our waiter took a great picture (although a little dark) of us in the car with the sign in the background.

I wouldn't recommend the glowing ice cubes, though. He said they'd last for 12 hours, but ours conked out while we waited for Fantasmic about 2 hrs later.

Our family would definitely eat here again.

We are trying this for lunch during Thanksgiving week too. It will be our first time. I don't have a lot of expectations about the food, but I think the girls will love it there!

I'm taking my dh & dd for their 1st time at Sci-Fi in Dec. I know my 2yo dd will absolutely love it! It's only for lunch & it will be a nice break in the middle of the day!

I feel silly asking this question, but if you want to go here for dessert in the late afternoon or at night, do you make a PS or do you just walk in? In either case, when you are seated, do you say you've just come for dessert? Is there a counter where dessert people sit? Sorry to be so ignorant, but I've heard from a variety of sources that dessert is a good way to go here, but I don't want to embarras myself!

I would go in and ask to be seated for a meal. After reviewing the menu, I would indicate I am only interested in dessert. I don't think it's that big of a deal....you are still a paying customer.
