I have worked as a restaurant manager for years. The state health inspector will tell you that gloves give the customer a false sense of security. Restaurants that wash hands instead are cleaner becuase people that wear gloves forget what they are touching and do not change their gloves often enough. When you can actually "feel" with your hands you wash them all the time. That person was wrong though and I would have brought that to the attention of the manager not corporate. The manager takes care of the store and would speak to that employee and probably address all that work there to remind them once again about hand washing procedures.
that went on behind the scenes.
I just don't. I wash my hands after using the bathroom and don't touch the flusher or door handle if at a public place but that's about as far as my germaphobia goes
I'll take that risk if I don't have to cook.
