Bunny carnage

I guess no Cadbury eggs for the OP this year.

I thought this was going to be about chocolate bunnies. You know, "I started at the ears and before I knew it: Bunny Carnage!"

Yes, white chocolate bunnies are an endangered species in my house. They never last till Easter.

Hitting any animal with my car just gives me the willies. (Shiver)
My friend and I were driving home from college back in the dark ages, and a really big bug hit the windshield right above the wipers. It stuck there, but it wasn't dead. Creeped us both out somethin' awful. We had to pile books on the dash to cover the grisley sight, we just couldn't take watching it suffer.

I hit a bunny once when I was doing about 80. The poor thing disintegrated, like pulverized teeny bits.

Thank you for not posting pictures! Once we pulled into our driveway and the headlights must have blinded a bunny. The silly thing ran right into the car - we had stopped moving, I don't know where he went after that :confused3

OP, I took out a whole family of ducklings once. Mom lived because she was faster.

I'm the kind of animal lover that I saw a puppy get hit one morning before work and I went and blocked traffic (and they were angry that time of morning!) & got it out of the road, she lived and ran off, but I cried all morning. I would get hysterical if I hit an animal especially a dog. But when I was in high school in the 80's, I had a huge old car. I hit a big bird on the way home from work adn I started to get very upset, but when I looked in the rear view mirror, it was like a scene out of a cartoon, feathers went everywhere, like confetti. I felt much better and could actually laugh about it.

Wild rabbits are pretty hardy, so he/she probably just kept going. They have to be that way to avoid predators.

On the way to work this morning it was dark and I saw two little buunies dart out in front of my car. One was far enough ahead that I knew it would make it, but the other....well, bump.....
Well, this afternoon, on my way home from work, I drove past the scene of the murder, and OMG both were dead.:scared1:

I killed the Easter Bunny and his little friend. I'm the grim reaper of cute little bunnies.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I'm sorry, I'm not laughing because two bunnies were killed, but the way the scene was described.

ok that makes me sad, the mother must have been upset :sad2:

I wasn't happy about it. It was one of those situations where I had three choices: take out the ducks, swerve into on coming traffic or slam on my brakes, get rear ended and cause a multi car accident. :confused3

I can't tell you how much I thought this was going to be a cute story about Easter Chocolate and how yummy the bunny ears are... poor little fellas.

Seems some pps were right there with me.

I got a squirrel once and cried for a week
