I have 2 rooms booked as "standard rooms". I requested one with bunks and was told it would be more money and an upgrade - they "have no bunkbeds in Standard rooms".
Should I call AKL directly, or fax them a day or two before we arrive? My girls are at the age where they would rather eat glass than sleep with each other. When I spoke to CRO the person was very specific that it would be a costly upgrade since they don't have any bunkbeds in the standard rooms (yet we had one on WL..). I never know what to believe anymore when I speak to them on the phone ! I asked if she would just add a request in writing, knowing nothing is a guarentee. She would not do it.
I could be wrong but I think I was told standards only come with K or 2 Q option.
And only the Pool View or Savanahh views have bunks.
If this is the case I would defintiely ask on check in if there are any bunk views available (who knows maybe you can get a free upgrade?)
We are going in November and were offered the Pool view room with bunks, I know it is a few more dollars per night than 2 Q pool view.
I would call back and try a different CRO, I have found if a particular CRO does not seem particularly helpful calling back and getting a different CRO defintiely helps. Also, room availability is constantly changing so it is possible no bunk rooms show when you talk to a CRO but when you call back it is available.
ALSo, any CRO should put the comments you want in, (understanding there is no gaurantee) I would defintiely call back and get another CRO just to make sure your preference for bunks is put in your reservation.
