So just exactly what do Bumping and Flaming mean? I see people mention them, but have never figured out exactly what they mean.

bumping is posting (often in your own thread) which moves it to the top of the page so others can see it.

flaming is doing things to start a fight. like when someone asks a question and people start to attack them because it goes against what they think is right or wrong. lots of high horses if you know what i mean.

to make it short
Bumping = purposly putting a message to get your topic up to top to be seen

Flaming = being not so nice to a person inparticular (insulting, calling names, etc)

Look for some previous threads about reusing refillable mugs from a prior trip, pool hopping or using childrens dining credits for adult meals (or start your own thread) you will quickly see what flaming is! :rotfl2: This really seems to upset a lot of people.

Not only do you bump your own thread, but if there is a thread you're looking at that you want to see more responses to you just post a bump to that thread to put it at the top.

Posts from days ago that people might have forgotten about or have not seen will be put to the top and start new responses.
