Probably the context you're referring to is the act of posting a "Bump" post at the bottom of a thread in order for it to bubble back up to the top of the forum/section so people are more likely to see it and so it doesn't get lost in the confusion that is a forum.

Yes thank you. I keep seeing bump and thought it was a abbreviations for something else.
