Bummed about Fantasmic

We had booked a trip for June 6-12 and planned the Fantasmic dinner package for June 10. It was booked. We changed our minds and decided to go in April. Then we discovered a big conflict and had to reschedule for June. We called tonight and Fantasmic dinner packages are completely sold out the whole time we are there!

I am so mad bc we had that reservation to begin with and we gave it up!!

Just a vent...thanks for listening to me whine!

Our last trip we had the BD/FDP. We were SO excited to have it. Then we showed up to the theatre and didn't even sit in the assigned FDP reserved area. Somehow they opened the arena a lil early...there were people scattered everywhere with lots of better seats to be had. I could care less if we ever get the FDP again. Have a great trip!!

Don't worry! We did the package once and we get better seats without. We won't go through the trouble with it again because with or without, you have to get there early.

We are skipping the Fantasmic pkg this year because my family wants 50 PT for dinner.
We have a 5:30 PM ADR for 50 PT and Fantasmic is at 8:30 PM on 4/6/10.
I figure we will stand on the Fantasmic line around 7:15 - 7:30 PM and then see the show.

Hold onto your Fantasmic ressie if you have one, there will be a cancellation at 50's by the time you go. You could do lunch at the 50's instead if your group agree to it. I am calling every day hoping for a cancellation for the Fantasmic Dinner Package for March. No luck yet but I am not giving up. Several agents have told me to start checking about 10 days out from our arrival because cancellations happen a lot in that time frame for a lot of things.

I hope this makes you feel better. Last year we had dinner reservations at Mama Melrose for Fantasmic, and my husband ended up getting sick that day and we canceled that day. They were so understanding that they did not even charge us our ADR. So I am sure our misfortune became someone elses surprise! Just keep calling.

Keep trying. For our trip this past November we called and called as far in advance as we could trying to book the FDP. Nothing available at any restaurant. But, they said to keep trying in case there were cancellations. I did, once a week sometimes more, but nothing. 1 week before our trip I decided to try one last time and there were a bunch of openings. I am not sure why or how but they had multiple times/days open at all three restaurants. And just a week before they were still booked solid. We ended up getting Mama Melrose which was great and had our pick of three different times/days. Crazy how that works out, but I'd keep trying. The line was super long that day too and none of the family members we were with were big on waiting so thank God we got it, otherwise we were skipping Fantasmic.
