Now that we figured out that the digital camera was most likely stolen out of DH's truck, I'm bummed about it. We are lucky in that we just got copies of all the photos made after our cruise (or at least our Disney/cruise photos). I think we got everything! But someone out there may have a LOT of memories of my family from 12/02 to last week, since DH had 3 or 4 memory cards in the camera case. Not only have I lost my own memories, I have to worry about what some sicko might do with photos of my children. Plus our name and address is in the case (in case it is lost, haha). I guess that's good if it is "found", but now I also have to make double sure the house is always locked tight.
It reminds me of the time in 97 when my purse was stolen and I lost precioius baby wallet photos of my girls, although this time I have more access to my photos.
DD#1 is at a mission camp until Sunday PM. We just got another smaller, cheaper digital (a Kodak) and she wanted to take that one, but I told her NO and bought her a disposable. There is a 1% chance she took the nice one--as soon as she gets back and I'm sure it's gone, I told DH we have to report it stolen in case bad things happen later. If doctored photos show up on the web, I want a permanent record that the camera was taken. I am also going to call pawn shops in the city tomorrow.
