I want a water view at Pop and would prefer not to overlook a parking lot. Is there anything negative about the 50's building #3 waterview? How long of walk is it to the main building? We'll have a rental so I'm not concerned about the walk to the buses. We're leaving Jan 11, so I'd better be getting my request in soon!!!

Bldg 3 is in the 50's section. It sits between the pool and the lake. But, I believe the preferred rooms face the pool. There are rooms on the other side of the bldg that will fact out towards the lake. No parking lot there...there is one off to the right, behind bldg 2.
It's a fairly quick walk to the main bldg...about 4 mins if I remember correctly. I was in bldgs 1 and 2 in the past.

See.. funny eh? I stayed in Building 2 with a view of the Pool ... and this was the deal clincher for me - The walk to the rental car parking spot was slightly closer than the walk to Classic Hall!

YAY!

My priorities are whacked.

We took building 5 in the 60s section. It was non-preferred and faced the water. It was close to the pool (walk by the jungle book) and right past the pop jets. Our view was great of the water and we watched the hot air balloons in the am over the lake.

Nothing is a long walk at Pop.

The Hour Glass Lake side of 50s Building 3 is my favourite location at PC! Unless it has changed, it is not a preferred room (they didn't have "water view" as of 12/17/2007 when we checked out). Some of the rooms in the 50s have been classified as preferred, as they are closer to Centennial Hall. But I think that's primarily on the pool side.

I stayed at the POP this year and was actually surprised at how close the buildings are to each other. It's not a bad thing at all, it's just that I always ask for something near the parking lot (sleeping kids are heavy!) so I figured I may end up quite a walk to the main building. I wasn't! I was on the 4th floor of building 9, a spitball's throw away from building 7 and it only took me a couple of minutes to walk to the main building. It would've taken me only a couple minutes more to walk to building 5..

That's my favorite bldg also Knox. We got the third floor, waaaay to the back of the bldg. In fact, if you walked out our door, turned left, you were immediately facing the parking lot. The rear stairway was right there. Nice for viewing IllumiNations off in the distance. It was so quiet. Love that spot.

Thanks everyone!!! I can't believe our trip is almost here!!!! I have so much more I have to do before we leave, but at least I know what building I will be requesting!!! These are some important details!!!!:lmao:
