Didn't see this posted, so I just wanted to let you all know what we thought of the new stores.
For Build A Pin, while I've never liked that building due to it's lack of AC, it's nice to see so many pins in one place. Unfortunately, only one wall has Build A Pin items on it. Since that was the main attraction, it was crowded. Then, the lines were long to have your pins built (they have little machines that put your pins together for you). Took me about 1/2 hour to buy then have one pin made. Yes, I know, it was opening day, but I could still see that being a problem during busy times. Lots of tables to trade at, although not much trading on that we saw when we were there at about 9 pm. Perhaps we missed it all. (Interesting side note.. the villians room at WOD was empty.)
Once Upon A Toy is cool (well, except their AC didn't seem to be working, either). I love toys, and it had all kinds. Classic board games with Disney twists. A huge Mr. Potato Head area (bigger than Toys Fantastic had). A whole room of stuffed animals. Another room dedicated to models and figurines - partcularly park items (hotel, castle, and attraction replicas), and Star Wars items. Another room full of dolls.
I finally got my Aloha Stitch, so I was a happy camper. Only downside was that they would not take my AP for a discount. That bites. The CM that checked us out had the Once Upon A Toy Grand Opening pin on her collar.
Their grand openings should be interesting!
