Build-a-Bear

My DD works at BaB, too, so we are fully loaded in that department! I, personally, have *10* (eek), including Tink Bear. Each of my DDs has a princess dress (definitely get them from the website...cheaper than eBay!).

We also found that American Girl Bitty Baby clothes seem to fit some of their hundred million BaBs, so you might check that out!

When we went to WDW, I made 2 shirts for my kids bears (well actually kitty and monkey) I bought 2 plain red shirts, cut out a felt black mickey head and used fabric glue to glue on. Too cute. The kids animals got them for Christmas presents(seeing that we were going to Disney 1 week later).

OH MY!
that is awesome -
LOVE the picture of her on Castaway - that is the bomb!
We have 6 build a bears (frogs, cat, dogs, monkey, etc) that reside in this house with all their clothes etc.. I was dissappointed to fint hat the disney outfits are NOT sold inthe store - I looked a few times!
None have previoulsy gone on vacation with us (DD-11 was never really attached to any of them - she got her first one when she was 5)
My DS however loves his Marley Dog -
and since DS is going to be BUZZ for Halloween I think I must get Marley the buzz costume too -
there goes the no shopping....

hhhm next trip I should make an 'autograph shirt' for him -
let all the characters sign HIS shirt!

RealMickeysGirl -- Where did you get the passport?
Someone else said they made a passport for theirs. What kit, if any, did you use?
Thanks!
Jennifer

This is where I ordered Dio's passport:

Jolee's scrapbook embellishments has one that you can get at the craft stores but the one from this website is really tailored for teddies.

PattyT - I was also disapointed to not be able to get outfits in the store. I went to Birmingham with a friend to get her daughter her first BAB (she got a cat) with the hope of being able to get another Disney outfit but no luck.

Oh Boy, you are in trouble now. I have three : 2 bears ( 1 is a scrapbook bear ) and a Pink Flamingo named Orlando . Hubby has one also. We have a bear family thanks in part to my daughter who works at build a bear ( I can't even count how many she has ). Instead of a lot of bears, I have outfits for each season ( and special occasions ). They have their own wardrobe for storing the clothing.

I currently have only one BAB - the white unicorn. Her name is Piper and she wants to be just like JLo when she grows up! :rotfl2: I have her all dressed in pink and she is positively GIRLY which is so unusual for me - but I love her. I don't take her anywhere really because she's white and I'm so worried she'll get really dirty (once again pointing to her wanting to be JLo - she doesn't want to get dirty). She was "born" the same day as -em's Tink bear! I asked DH if I could get another one for my birthday this year so I can have someone to take with me on trips and such. I guess we'll see.

Also, on making clothes for them - I also have a Cabbage Patch Doll and some of those clothes fit Piper and I know they have Cabbage Patch clothes patterns, you might try that.

I am worried about Eloise, my bunny, getting dirty too. If she does go with me, she gets wrapped in a flannel pillowcase and goes in my suitcase (don't start... DBF already said "are you going to wrap our kids in pillow cases and put them in a suitcase?" to which I had to say "look, I love Eloise, but she is not a real child! sheesh!"). Yes, Eloise has her own little suitcase to carry her clothes and accessories, including her Mickey head sunglasses.

For Mother's Day, BABW had mini bunnies, so I bought one. The clothes for the little BABW bears at Target fit the mini bunny. Maybe you can find a little unicorn or other friend to take with you on trips.

I ordered the teddy bear passport. It is darling and looks so real! It was so easy with my pay pal acct, and only $8.99 with shipping.

Everyone, please post links to your bears' trip reports. Can't wait to see them!

Okay, I admit, I had no idea what Build A Bear was...I had heard of it, but wasn't too sure what exactly it was. I just went to buildabear.com and omg! They have the cutest little Patriots Bear in a uniform!! I so have to have that!! Thanks so much for the thread!!

I just wish they had actual numbers you could pick from for the Uniform...I would SOOO have #4 on mine!! :rotfl2:

This is great! For our 1st anniversary, DH got me a BAB (a cat) named Bailey. We had so much fun going to make it! I have been getting seasonal outfits for her, too, and just using her in decorating.

We are headed back to WDW in 2 weeks and I had planned to take a smaller stuffed animal along to use for pictures in Epcot (we don't have children, so it's usually just pics of us). I had no idea BAB had Disney outfits! I have been on the website now trying to decide if they can get here in time! :cool1:

Thanks for the great idea, and if you're at WDW in a couple of weeks and see a crazy woman walking around with her dressed up Build-A-Cat, taking pictures of it--it's probably me! :rotfl:
