Has anyone taken their kids to Build a Bear?
My DD13 and my DS6 love it! They each made a bear and now every time we go to the mall they are looking at outfits and accessories for them. They offer birthday parties too. My DS even made his play "Take me out to the ball game" when you squeeze his paw. Today his bear got a swim ring and a bucket & shovel (very useful things for a stuffed bear).:)

i myself love that store. ours is located right next to ds so kinda hard not to go look lol.

<font color=navy>They have one at the Disneyland Resort Downtown Disney & I took my dd & her friends for her b-day -- that place always seems to be crowded!

I love Build-a-Bear!

But your right, it does get expensive!

I don't think we have a store like that near me. I'd love to visit one of them, though :)

I have curly bunny from Build-A-Bear. I named her Lilly Beth after one of the WDWRR's locomotives, the Lilly Belle. Anyway, Lilly Beth is a very important bunny and has many outfits and accessories from Build-A-Bear. This is mostly thanks to my mother who cannot get enough of the store. Does anyone know if the Build-A-Bear at Disneyland has any cool Disney accessories for the bears? Just curious...

Nativetxn depending on where you are in MI you can just come to the Dis-meet in Novi. The Build a Bear I was at today is in the mall that we're meeting in.

HI Lars,

Someone recommended build a bear to me as something to do with my Girl Scout troop. I haven't checked it out yet. What do you think? Would it be good for a group or would I be running around helping the girls?

We saw our first one in Mackinaw City Lars! (Its actually called Mackinaw Bear soemthing, but does the same thing!)

Our 3 yo DD loves both versions!

And Fire, it's not your store for long:mad:  It will be MY store after October um ............4th ya! ;)

Fire is talking about TDS & Make a Bear store in Rivertown Crossing Mall LOL
It's in Grandville (suburb of Grand Rapids) & closer for you than Novi Katholyn;)

Cheap trick Lars:mad:  trying to lure Nativetxn away from us JK LOL

Actually I hope to also go to the Novi meet on Sept 14th at Twelve Oaks Mall (as well as this months meet on the 17th in Battle Creek!);) ;) ;) ;)

Oh jldriscoll I think it would be great for a GS troop. I was a leader for about 6 years and I think my girls would have loved it.
I wish they were still interested, I had them from K-gr.5 and it was a blast! There are employees at Build a Bear who will assist the girls. I don't know what your trrop budget is like but they can do this for as little as $10.00 each if they don't buy outfits for the bears.

There is one in the Mall of America that's called something else too, but I can't remember what.

It is your store already but I still come to vist THE GOOD Mouse store. that mall makes more off me in those 2 stores than all of the malls in Columbus, OH. I will be there the 16th wanna come join me.

Lars, my girls are 3rd grade this year so I think it would be perfect! It's always a treat to take them somewhere I don't need to be the "cruise director"!! I think this may be one of the Sept. field trips I've been looking for!

Thanks!

We took my DGD on her 7th birthday and had a ball. All us adults made one too. It was so much fun.

My DD's aunt took them to the BAB store in the Florida Mall. They came home with a horse and frog. Lets see, the horse was cowboy and the frog was a surfer. They had a ton of fun, and alot of their friends have had bday parties there.

My girls (8 and 11) LOVE Build A Bear. I think the quality of bear and clothing is excellent and the prices aren't too bad, either. The girls like to save their money and buy outfits for their animals. In fact, my 11 year old will be having her 12th birthday at Build A Bear. She doesn't want the "real" party, but I am taking some of her friends and her up to build animals.

My 8 year old DD is going to her 3rd Build-A-Bear birthday party this Saturday and she can't wait!

I took my 57 year old self there a few weeks ago. :D I chose a white bear and put pink flowers on her ears, then I bought the angel/fairy wing set. Of course I named her Angelrose. She plays Brahms lullaby when you press her little paw. I know, I'm a sad case. But actually I'm only 3 years old ;)
