Maybe a paper piecing? (I haven't done one myself, so I'm not sure how hard this would be. There's a line drawing of Flik at:
http://www.theneitherworld.com/bugs/chars/flik.gif that you might be able to trace off your screen.)
Do you have any shaped eyelets like bees or butterflies?
Someone posted Flik's autograph at:
http://www.davis-reno.com/autographs/flik.jpg ...maybe you could have him "sign" your page? It should be easy enough to reproduce.
Here's a review with pix that might prompt some ideas for you:

I haven't been able to find an 'attraction script' page/site for this. One of those would be great! The show the entire text for the attraction - I'm sure that would spark some ideas!
How about putting the lyrics on vellum for your page?
IT'S TOUGH TO BE A BUG!
"We're pollinators!
We're pollinators!
If you like vegetables, fresh fruits and flowers,
Give thanks to us bugs for our marvelous powers!
If it weren't for the fact that we like the taste,
You'd be out there wallowing in shoulder high waste!
Shoulder high waste!
And if all bugs were wiped off the face of the planet,
There'd soon be no humans around here to man it.
The best thing about us: you can't live without us!
Still, it's tough to be a bug!"
Other than that I don't have any other specific ideas, but found something that might prompt a thought for you:
"This one is for the inside of the theatre of It's Tough To Be A Bug. The announcer says something to the effect of "Will all honorary bugs please remain seated so the beetles, maggots and cockroaches may exit safely." If you look up at the ceiling you will see "swarms" of lights. They all fly toward the doors. Look to your left at the exit signs and you will see little firefly type creatures lighting up the exit sign as they exit the theatre.
Did you know that when you walk down the path to the Tree of Life that there are places where you walk through "tunnels". If you look up at those "ceilings" you can see a lot of "critters" up there.
saw a ptarodactyl and can't even remember what else. Just look up when you go through those "arches"."
ETA: If you PM me with your address, I'll see if I can print out a couple pieces of clip art & send them to you. I'm not sure how they'd turn out right now as I need to replace my ink, but I could try.
