I cant print any clip art since i dont have a printer ..Please help give me an idea ...lol thanks in advance..Lori

Maybe a paper piecing? (I haven't done one myself, so I'm not sure how hard this would be. There's a line drawing of Flik at: http://www.theneitherworld.com/bugs/chars/flik.gif that you might be able to trace off your screen.)

Do you have any shaped eyelets like bees or butterflies?

Someone posted Flik's autograph at: http://www.davis-reno.com/autographs/flik.jpg ...maybe you could have him "sign" your page? It should be easy enough to reproduce.

Here's a review with pix that might prompt some ideas for you: http://images.google.com/imgres?img...5&prev=/images?q=flik&start=40&hl=en&lr=&sa=N

I haven't been able to find an 'attraction script' page/site for this. One of those would be great! The show the entire text for the attraction - I'm sure that would spark some ideas!

How about putting the lyrics on vellum for your page?
IT'S TOUGH TO BE A BUG!

"We're pollinators!
We're pollinators!

If you like vegetables, fresh fruits and flowers,
Give thanks to us bugs for our marvelous powers!
If it weren't for the fact that we like the taste,
You'd be out there wallowing in shoulder high waste!
Shoulder high waste!

And if all bugs were wiped off the face of the planet,
There'd soon be no humans around here to man it.

The best thing about us: you can't live without us!

Still, it's tough to be a bug!"

Other than that I don't have any other specific ideas, but found something that might prompt a thought for you:

"This one is for the inside of the theatre of It's Tough To Be A Bug. The announcer says something to the effect of "Will all honorary bugs please remain seated so the beetles, maggots and cockroaches may exit safely." If you look up at the ceiling you will see "swarms" of lights. They all fly toward the doors. Look to your left at the exit signs and you will see little firefly type creatures lighting up the exit sign as they exit the theatre.

Did you know that when you walk down the path to the Tree of Life that there are places where you walk through "tunnels". If you look up at those "ceilings" you can see a lot of "critters" up there. saw a ptarodactyl and can't even remember what else. Just look up when you go through those "arches"."

ETA: If you PM me with your address, I'll see if I can print out a couple pieces of clip art & send them to you. I'm not sure how they'd turn out right now as I need to replace my ink, but I could try.

Another thought...do you have a pressed penny that fits in? How about doing a shaker box with little bugs in it?

You know, most people don't have pix for this since you can't take them inside....so doing a whole page might be tough - especially w/o clip art. However, I found a page that put it with other attractions that was pretty cute!

Also, I might be tempted to combine it with the tree of life since you have to walk through its roots to get there.

I agree with most of the previous posters suggestions... paper piecing, stickers of the characters, Tree of Life photos and/or a really detailed journaling block. If you cannot figure out a way to get the glasses physically on the page, take a good photo of them and use it. HTH............P

ETA... good idea from PiratesMate. I will check to see if I have any Bug's Life themed stickers. By all means, PM me if you are interested in them. I'd be happy to share!......P

We took pictures right outside the entrance and we did manage one photo inside the waiting area with the 3D glasses on. We used those pictures for a layout and in the background we drew some of the posters(freehand) that we saw inside the waiting area, like "beauty and the bees". The background paper was green and we used some plant diecuts and a few bug diecuts that I had gotten at my LSS. The title of course was Its Tough to be a Bug.

Ty Ty great ideas ....I am lucky to have a pair of the glasses so i am gonna take a real close up of each kid and do alot of jurnling ..I did find cool clip art with bugs life ...I jst got to find away to get someone to print them for me then it should do a cool layout......i wouldnt of even worried about it but hubby still laughs about the show and how all the little ones reacted on being snotted on i soooo funny we got to include it ...lol Ty again Lori

If you don't know someone nearby who would print your clip art for you, have you thought about calling one of the office supply/printing places? Like Kinko's or Staples? I just remembered that years & years ago before the "average" person had color printers at home, DS took some of his computer artwork to a place & they printed it out for him. (He needed it for his home school portfolio.)

You could also put a pic of the tree of life on that page. It could tie into the fact that the show is seen "inside" the tree of life. We also took pics of the kids with the glasses on inside while in line.

Kathy

I took a photo of the Bugs Life sign, the kids inside with their 3D glasses on and combined that with photos of the Tree of Life itself.

Email me (cherwolf@erols.com) and I'll send you my photo of the sign and some photos of the tree if you'd like.

Stand the kinds in front of a big tree when taking their photo with the glasses, that way if any background shows it's the tree.
