About 2 days ago, I started to notice these tiny moth-type bugs flying around in my kitchen. I cleaned out all of my cabinets and got rid of anything that was close to being old. Does anyone have any idea what they are and where they may be coming from?

If you posted a picture it would help narrow down the choices.

Check your cornmeal, flour, cracker crumbs, granola, cereal and oatmeal. Also check your parchment paper. I spent a few weeks trying to get rid of these and finally found the source to be in a very old roll of parchment paper.

Yep..I have had these, and they lay their eggs and hatch larva in flours, meals, grains ..etc.. You sometimes see webbing in the container, and of course, the flour....moves....:scared: I now keep all of my stuff...everything sealed in glass jars.

They are very small brownish/silvery moths that flit all over the place. They are called pantry moths. The larvae are very tiny, about 1/8th-1/4 inch long..ick...

Here is a web site with a little more info.. http://www.ehow.com/how_18818_rid-home-pantry.html

That's them! They can be a pain to get rid of if you don't find all their little nests. I think mine originally got brought in with some wild rice but I had no success at getting rid of them until I found their hiding spot in the parchment paper.
