Buffet ressie at closing time?

Just noticed that our 1900 Park Fare ressie is just min before closing. Will they start taking the buffet down soon after we get there? Or the characters take off? We want to go--it's only days away, so there's not a good chance we'll find something else, but don't want to waste a TS credit if we're rushed to get the food we want, etc.

Not sure about closing for dinner, but for breakfast at Chef Mickey's, it's great to have the last seating IMO. You do only get a limited time with the food before it changes for lunch (which we aren't allowed to eat obviously) but you get a lot more time with the characters. We had 3 character with us at once last year and a couple even sat down with us for a while!

You will not get rushed and they will not break the buffet until you leave.

We had a late seating at The Crystal Palace a few years ago and it tainted us so bad, we will NEVER go back there.

The restaurant was disgustingly dirty. It was as if they knew it was the end of the night and they were going to leave everything for the heavy nighttime cleaning.

The buffet food was HORRIBLE. They weren't putting out any fresh food and we pretty much at everyone's leftovers.

Our server was no where to be found to refill drinks and take away dirty plates. I ended up moving the dirty plates to an empty table so we would have some room on our table.

Character interaction was fine.

Hmm....well, this last post makes me nervous. I'd hate to feel like we're getting old leftover food--and that they won't make any new food. But I can't find any other ressie's for our large party.

Drats. I thoughts all disney restaurants were supposed to be open late. It never occurred to me that we got the last ressie.
