Buffet menu?

I've never seen jacket potatoes at any of the buffets, they do have potato wedge type things but they're quite greasy.

I've also never seen jacket potatoes at any DLP buffet, incuding the Cheyenne :confused3.
I did get served an absolutely delicious baked potato with my chicken main dish at the Beaver Creek tavern.

I just did a general search on here putting 'jacket potato' limiting the search to the DLP forums, there were a few threads that mentioned serving them at the Chuck Wagon.

It's no big deal, just 'over' planning I guess, with an autistic child we try and cater for everything, although Florida is vast planning is easy for us there as we have been so many times and always have a kitchen - in Paris it needs a bit more thought.

They always used to do a lovely parmesan mash at Inventions mmmmmmm :goodvibes I hope they still do this.

Ive tried three buffets at DLP and heres a list of what we've seen:

Soup with bowls of cheese, croutons, cream and parsley.
Ribs
Sausages which are veal and you either love or hate. Love them!
Chicken legs
Salad cart with loads of choice including cheeses and cold meats.
A couple of chicken, beef, pork dishes including stews and cassoroles and roast cuts.
Plenty of fish choices including salmon in starter and main courses.
Pastas with at least two sauce options separate.
A veggie option.
Fresh veggies.
Fries, mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes.
A rice dish.
Cous cous.
Sauces like gravy and the most devine BBQ sauce.
Plus a huge selection of desserts including pancakes, floating islands, bavoroix, apple tart, ice cream, cream, chocolate mouse, almond tarts, chocolate cake, meringues, jelly etc.

Plus loads of kids favourites like nuggets, cod shapes, pizza etc.

The choice differs from restaurant to restaurant but thats a rough guide.
My favourite so far has been the Cheyenne but we plan to try Beaver Creek and maybe inventions next time.

Hi,
Just a quick update, instead of Plaza gardens, I think I may secretly book Inventions.
I know the cost is almost double plaza gardens but we were struggling to fit in Cafe Mickey at the same time so this seems perfect.
I have been looking at reviews of inventions but what are your honest opinions of the dinner buffet and whats at the buffet?

Well, I haven't been there for quite a few years now but it always was the best buffet on the premises (and I'm sure it still is) and although it's pricey we think it's worth it, after all if you can't treat yourself when you're on holiday, when can you?!! We're eating there for my birthday meal in a couple of weeks and really looking forward to it.

If you plough through the review thread here there should be some photos in there.
