Buffet Menu Ideas...

Hi all! I just got the set of buffet menus (all two of them) from my WP. While the menus are nice, I was wondering what everyone else has done. So, what did you have (or will have) for your buffet?

Also, anyone with ideas for vegetarian options to add, I would love some ideas. A member of my bridal party and two guest are vegetarians...while I don't want to totally plan the meal around them, I do want to make sure they get enough to eat!

i recently received those 2 menus as well..and i was a little let down as i thought there would be more options than that...but apparently (and i guess they don't tell you this at first in hopes that you will get the more expensive menus), you have the option of using other menus that they call "reception buffet menus"

i haven't gotten around to doing this yet, but you might want to email your WP and ask what the other options are and if they can send you more info?

and i have heard that you can swap out certain items for other foods if you wanted to add more options for people with special requests.

I got sent some rehersal dinner menus as well and they have some buffet ideas on them, I must admit we are looking at buffet options and there is not many. We are swaying towards one of the rehersal ones as its a fun menu that we think everyone will like

Thanks! It does help...I was okay with the main meats (fish, turkey and beef), but wasn't really interested in the side dishes. Plus the whole vegetarian thing. I was wondering what kind of pasta dishes we could add or get ideas of what else was out there. I kind of feel like they are trying to cookie cutter the meal and I was looking for something a little different...

I printed out the rehersal dinner menus as well and I am going to take a look today...we are thinking of doing an "Around the World" theme, so some of the ideas from the reheresal dinner buffets have some promise. I think I will take a good look at those and maybe email my WP to see if she has any ideas on other things to do.
