Buffalo to Orlando $40 on DING!

You can download Ding from the SWA website. I do believe you need a zip code, and since I am also from ON I used the Buffalo airport zip (try - 14225). Once it is downloaded to your computer there will be a little icon at the bottom of your screen (an airplane wing) and it will show an envelope when something new comes through (a ding rate).

All I did (on advice from another poster) was I called the SW refund number, not the toll free SW #. I asked them to cancel my current reservation and they gave me the confimation number that had the credit from my flight to use towards my new flight. I then went online and booked with the ding rate and used my confim # with the credit to pay for it. I then had a $504.76 left over. I called the refund # again and asked for a refund of the remaining balance to be credited to my credit card. She said "no problem" and I would see it in 10-12 business days.

I have heard of many people who have done this successfully, and many others who only got the SW credit to be used for future flights. I don't know why that is. Here is the phone number that I called...

I kept the credit with SW so i can use it for my flights in May. I figure with this great exchange rate I will just leave it.

So now with my AP's bought, DVC bought and airfare pre paid my May trip is in the bag.

We got the Ding fare applied to our Sept 22- Oct 3rd reservation. How could it have only been from Nov- Jan. We got $36 back ($9 each way x 2 people). Oh well, I have a flight and I saved more money for future trips

DOH! I wish I had known that! I would have rebooked our October trip for $40 each way instead of $49 each way. Oh well.

Don't feel too bad. It wasn't available for all days of travel - we are going down on Oct 1st and coming back Oct 10th and couldn't get it either way.

We did luck out and get it for our December trip though.
