Buffalo park n fly?

I just booked the Peace Bridge duty Free deal....$89 plus tax including parking. Normally, we just drive in for our flight(generally a mid day or afternoon) and park at the airport but this time we are on the 8am flight. The cost of our parking alone at the airport would be $60 so this is a great deal.

I've heard many good things about this Days Inn. So I'm anxious to give it a try. In the past we have avoided all Days properties.

BTW, you are required to go into the duty free to pick up your confirmation package before you cross the border. They told me you need it to check in at the hotel. I think really it's just a ploy to get you in the store....they give you a $5 coupon so you know a lot of people will want to use it and spend waaaay more than $5.

You don't need to stop at all. We didn't. We just went right to the hotel. We didn't cross at that crossing. So not a big deal. The only thing I will say is I booked it on one credit card, and paid for it with another at the hotel. They charged both, but one was credited back right after I called.

Is there a way to book the Duty free deal online or do you have to call?

Nevermind. I figured it out and submitted my request.:goodvibes
I think I will actually technically need 11 days of parking if they count the evening we check in as a day. So hopefully there is only a small extra fee.

Anyone ever stayed at the Millenium Hotel? Just accross from Walden Galleria. 14 day parking included with Duty Free package

For those that have stayed at the Days Inn do they have take out containers for breakfast? I really don't want to eat at 5:30am.

I didn't see any but it couldn't hurt to ask. I wish I had thought of that. It was too early for me too so I just skipped breakfast and regretted it later.

Just checking back in to report two great Staybridge Suites stays via Trinity Reservations on August 14th and 22nd!

We had two rooms each night ... both were one-bedroom suites with two comfy double beds and a pull out in the living room. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly front desk staff. Cars stayed parked at the hotel. Shuttle service to/from airport was flawless and the ride only took about 15 minutes or so. Morning breakfast was delicious both days with lots of hot and cold selections.

Not the cheapest park and fly option out there, I think we paid $135 USD per room per night all told, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Hit a dollar store and but some food containers throw some food in there before you leave at 5:30am.

I've got a couple of containers at home that I will bring in case they don't have any....or ziploc bags

Just a heads up, not sure about the Days Inn specifically, but it's possible that breakfast won't even be available that early in the morning.

My experience is with Staybridge and various Hampton and Residence Inns, but weekday breakfast is usually 6:00 or 6:30 to sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 while weekends usually start and end about 30 minutes later than weekdays.

Some places offer a "grab and go bag" for guests departing early ... I know this is possible at Hampton Inns and usually contains a muffin, fruit and possibly a juice.

Hi! We are staying at the Quality Inn Airport in Buffalo. We haven't stayed there yet (going Aug 19th), but it was a really good price and right across the street from the airport with shuttle. It is a chain, so should be okay :) We got 10 days parking and 1 night stay for $113.75 US.

We have stayed there as well. It's clean. Great shuttle and you park right at the hotel. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Check out Trinity Reservations. They have a great rate for Staybridge Suites.

This is true for many places that offer an included breakfast. The BUF airport hotels offer breakfast starting between 4 and 5am.

Ahh, going to file that fact for future reference! :). (Though, I try to avoid super early flights if possible.)

I agree, I'm not into early flights. This is the first time I have flown out of BUF prior to 11am. Our flight departs at 8am so it will be interesting to see if this works for us or not. I'm not a morning person at all...DH gets up at 5:45 every day for work so no biggie for him.

If it's any help, our flight (SW) left BUF at 8:40 and we left the hotel at about 7:05 ... had no issues and got through airport security etc. with plenty of time to spare. Since you're hotel is closer than ours, you won't need to really factor in any travel time either.

Have a great trip!

There's no way we would cut it that close. We will leave the hotel by 6am at the very latest. You have to factor in that this is a holiday weekend so the airport will be busier than usual.

We just returned from using the Days Hotel Peace Bridge Promotion. The price was amazing but the experience wasn't. We checked in at 5:30 p.m. on August 19th the night before our 8 a.m. flight. As we waited at the front desk, a guest came up and complained that they opened the door to the room only to find another family in the room. As we checked in, there were NO parking spaces in the back fenced lot or the normal lot. The counter person actually moved his own vehicle to give a spot to the people checking in in-front of us. We had 2 rooms and 2 vehicles. We were told to try back later for a spot so we went to the Olive Garden for dinner and then Macy's to kill some time. When we returned, there were still no spots in the fenced lot but we found 1 in the normal and 1 in handicapped. We went to our rooms only to find once again, another person in our room!!! When we returned to the desk, the Manager blamed an older gentleman claiming he was new. An hour later, we finally had a proper room but had to change with our other party who had a King vs our 2 Queens. They had already unpacked and used the room but we had no choice. Another half hour later and we were told 2 parking spots in the back fenced lot were free so we moved them. We didn't get to bed until late which was unfortunate with the early flight. The Manager also offered to pay for the room and parking that evening due to the mix ups...but they charged us anyways. It was a disappointing start but all was forgotten when we landed in Orlando.

I'm not the cut things close type either and I agree that allowing extra time on holiday weekend is probably a smart idea. :goodvibes

Under normal circumstances, both Southwest and Jet Blue recommend checking in at BUF 90 minute before your flight.

I just booked parksleepfly and chose Days Hotel and was wondering if anyone has stayed in this hotel. We ended up paying $135 after taxes as we had to add 2 days of parking, Sleep Inn and a couple others are sold out for our dates. I'm just hoping that it isn't that bad of a hotel for $99 a night. Also we will be leaving from work at 5:30pm on our check in date, we work at Burlock(border of Oakville/Burlington), and won't arrive probably until around 8pm due to traffic and border crossing, will that be ok. We have never stayed park and fly as we usually have noon flights but our flight is at 9:30am this year.

TIA. :)

Oh and another question since we have never used a park and fly but do you leave your car key with them?
