Buffalo Marriott- $60 for March 12

webworm,

Thank you. I am going to try this tonight.

I have to enter everything and if it is accepted I'm getting the Marriott at what I hope to pay. If it is rejected my credit card is not charged and I try again with a higher bid - is that pretty much how it works?

Yes that is correct. The previous poster made a good point as well that your more likely to get it for $60.00 when you are within the 1 week period of your actual stay. Outside of that experience has been around $70.00 or more. You can check betterbidding for recent winning bids for $58- $60 and they have been within a week of travel.

dont get discouraged as I too started trying in late Dec for our mid March trip. Make a cancelable ressie and dont bid above $60, expect nothing until about 1 week out (for me it was 1.5 weeks)
Good luck

Thank you. I will try on a regular basis and based on advice I'll also book a room I can cancel.

also sign up for free Marriott rewards
you wont get the points on a priceline bid but you will get free internet at the hotel which otherwise costs about $12.95/night
I just added my #

also no mention at all about any $1/day parking charge- and I asked about the parking-just sign waiver a front desk when I arrive (and sign up then for shuttle too)
