Buffalo Airport- Hotels?

I stayed at the Marriot on millersport for the world juniors game. It cost me 69 on hotwire.

I just booked the millenium through pricewire bid your own for $50 for next month.

I have stayed at this Marriott previously and it is great. Since it is the only 3.5* hotel on Priceline you can bid in $5.00 increments up to 7 times within a 24hr period by adding a new geographic zone with each rebid if not accepted.

I use www.parksleepfly.com. you can get a hotel and parking and shuttle to and from the airport. its literally a 2 minute drive to the airport for some of them. holiday inn express, sleep inn and suites. not sure what hotels are on there now, but usually a great deal.

Just a heads up about www.parksleepfly.com

I used their website and reserved 1 nights accomodation with parking and had an email confirming the price, for 2 adults with 2 beds.

This trip is just my DS(19) and I

1 day after reserving this, I received an email from the hotel manager saying if I wanted 2 beds I would have to pay more!!! :scared1: they would only give a King size bed for the price reserved.

I am now trying priceline for the Marriott

As soon as I get something, bye,bye previous reservation :rolleyes1

I don't like it when a confirmation is made with terms that were acceptable and then they change it :sad2:

What do you guys think?

I'm sorry to hear that. If the fine print is on your side then I would call parksleepfly and report them.

I'm sure once you start using priceline you'll be hooked.

Hope it all works out for you. Let us know what happens.

I have sent an email to www.parksleepfly.com re the issue.

I tried on Priceline today and got the Marriott for $75 ($94 with taxes) :thumbsup2

I think I will be happier with the Marriott after reading all the good reviews here on the DIS and am hoping that their free parking still applies :)

So far we have stayed at the Fairfield Inn (nice and clean, close), the Courtyard Inn (further away, but clean, and exceptional service) and for our Christmas trip stayed at the Marriott (love it).

A note about the Courtyard, in case anyone is interested. We had a 6:30 a.m. departure out of BUF and asked for an early shuttle. When we dragged our tired selves to the lobby, they told us that the shuttle didn't start until 7 a.m. But no problem, they had already booked an airport taxi for us and they paid the bill! Amazing!

Carol, you will love it and they are SO nice @ the Marriott plus the parking there cannot get any easier. Twice we've had drivers for their airport shuttles that had just returned from CM stints @ Disney. :rotfl2:

Thanks Daisy, for the positive post :goodvibes

B-T-W: Where in the world are you these days?

I moved out of Durham Region July 2010 and down to SouthWestern Ontario and LOVE it here :thumbsup2

We have used Fairfield Inn which is right across from the airport. We've been there twice now and preferred it to another one we stayed at before (it was a Marriott but I don't remember which one). That shuttle took longer.

It never takes them long to come and pick us up from the airport and then we go to the washroom at the hotel while we load up and warm the van up. Then we stop quickly at the Tims right next to the hotel and then hit the road!

We are going there again in March!

We love the Fairfield Inn and Suites! Brand new and gorgeous - we parked at the airport though, so can't speak about the shuttle.

Great thread and now has me thinking....
I am booked at the Millennium through price line BUT have to pay $7 a day for parking which I didn't realize at time of booking ( silly me LOL) I need to park for 10 days. So after reading this thread it looks like for what it is going to cost me to park I can stay at a nicer hotel with free parking. Just wondering if it is worth it??? What would you do????? Then again maybe just parking at the airport is a better option.

Park at the airport...

Download a coupon from their website.

They are very organized, huge lots, security patrolled, free shuttles. I don't think I'd trust the Millennium lot for an extended stay, it's in the parking lot of the Walden Galleria.
