We're staying at the Buena Vista Suites for 3 nights next week. I just wanted to see if anyone has stayed there recently. We need a suite setup for our group, and the free hot breakfast was a big factor. For $88 a night, I think it's a great deal, I just wanted to know if there is anything I should know ahead of time.

We have stayed there three times (before/in between our DVC stays) and we are perfectly satisfied with it. We have three kids and need the extra space as well. The staff is friendly, the rooms have always been clean, the breakfast buffet is OK (nothing to get excited about, but it's fine) , the price is tremendous and it's location is excellent for shopping and DTD. In fact I just booked three nights for our stay this coming Xmas before we go over the BCV. I looked for other properties, just to maybe try something new, and decided why chance it go with what we know and like.:)

Do you need a car if you stay here or will the shuttle get us there when we want to be there? We are travelling with 2 4 year olds and trying to figure out if we need to stay on site or if we can get away with staying at a suite off site

With any offsite hotel I would recommend a car.

Just be sure no one in your family has pet allergies, as they allow pets. We had to cancel our reservation because I couldn't risk my son staying in a room where a pet had been (dander can last for a long time and cause problems).

We just got back from a 3 night stay and had a great time. The hotel was nicer than I expected, and the room actually looked nicer than the photos on the hotel's website (weird, huh?). We had an adult sleeping on the sofa sleeper, and she thought it was fine. The bathroom was plain, but clean.

We had a car and drove that to the parks, but there were huge buses out front every morning, taking folks to the park. But they're scheduled, so you're on their schedule, and I don't know if you could come back mid-day or not. But you could call and ask what the schedule is like.

The staff was amazing, the breakfast was the best free breakfast I'd ever had. But I wish they'd add fresh fruit, not just canned fruit. The pool is small, but fine. And there's a hottub.

Overall, I don't think you can do better for the price.

I would disagree with this. I stayed offsite at the Sheraton Safari, and we used the shuttle to get to MK. We didn't want to pay parking, and the bus got us to MK in plenty of time for rope drop. it was actually a quick bus ride.

We are considering Buena Vista Suites this time a swell. I'm glad so many people like it.

Be sure to request a room (suite) away from the elevators. We had one directly across, (I could see the doors if I peeked out the peep hole) and all night long, I kept hearing this strange groaning noise. Turned out that it was the elevator! ;)

We've stayed here 2 times and would stay again. The buffet was fine.

We stayed at the sister resort next door, Caribe Royale. Same set up for the rooms, different colors. But the pool is awsome. My grandson always wants to know when we're going back to the "pink" hotel! He loves the slide.

They don't allow pets anymore. Also, even when they did, they only had a few designated rooms where pets were allowed.

We stayed April 26th. Our room was nicer this year than last year. It seemed newer. We were on the first floor this year which was very convenient. We only stayed one night between resorts.

The food was fine. The pool was nice and warm. I can't imagine not having a car but that's just me. It's not in a location where I think one could just walk around although Ponderosa was across the street (I think). We didn't eat there.

When did they stop allowing pets? We were considering staying there for a 2 night stay later this month. Obviously, I'll need to keep looking.

We stayed there in May. We thought it was a nice hotel. Great price, location and a free breakfast. We are staying there this Christmas also.

We love Buena Vista Suites. Clean, comfortable rooms w/ micro and fridge. Great to have the bedroom door that closes too. The breakfast buffet was just fine. We think it is pretty good. Great hotel for the price!!!:thumbsup2

Also, if you do have a car, it is exactly 10 min to MK from the front of the hotel on hwy 536 (street hotel is on).

You will enjoy it!
