I have booked at Buena Vista Suites for our end of May trip. I am starting to get nervous about not staying on site. Please help, did I make the right chose? How long of a drive is it to the parks?

It is a really easy ride to the parks. I think about 7 minutes to Magic Kingdom, not so sure about that though, I never kept track, I think I was just to tired. We stayed there in December and the rooms are amazing, clean and comfy. The staff was extremely nice.

I can honestly say that I did miss staying on site but it was just my DD10 and I so I really didn't feel safe at this hotel being just the two of us. The parking is not very well lite and there didn't seem to be that much parking so I had to park in back and walk around to the front to get in.

Honestly I had no reason to fear for my safety there because I even saw security driving around and nothing ever happened there but there is just something to say for staying on site for me as a single mom. Never had those fears when I stayed at All Star Music, maybe it is just Disney brain washing me :scratchin !

Also there was a lot of traffic next to the hotel. The hotel is located on the corner of an extremely busy intersection. Matter of fact the first night there I was just about to fall asleep at about 2 am and there was a huge car accident. The tire from one of the vehicles flew off and landed about 500 feet from the accident. Very scary to hear that in the middle of the night. We mentioned to the front desk something about the accident and she says, "Oh that happens all the time."

Hopefully I didn't make you feel worse but I am just being honest about my experience. Like I said maybe Disney has just brainwashed me into needing to stay on site.:lmao:

Will you have your own car?
We had this booked last year, but then decided to change to POP. The main reason being that the pool was small.
Do you have a big family? The 4 for 3 is a good deal, but at BVS you would have 3 rooms, which I think is so nice on a vacation.l

We stayed here a few years ago and it was fine.
My motto is I would rather be at WDW, don't need to stay onsite.

The breakfast is great and you are just a stones throw away from that wonderful arch that welcomes you to our fave place...WDW!
