Budweiser----AMERICA'S BEER????

But when it comes to full size trucks Detroit wins in my book.

I'm sure that's true. After the mid 70's oil crisis I think the US automakers were trying to compete with the Jap cars that were going forever and lost sight of quality. Personally, I have not nor plan on ever buying a foreign vehicle. I was tempted at the Nissan Titan but glad I didn't. One thing the big 3 really need to focus on is a better looking truck like the Tacoma. Chevy's and Dodge both have ugly as hell trucks in that category with nooooo room. I don't even think Ford makes Rangers or the likes anymore. People pulling pup's and small campers might be more inclined to buy one if they look better and you'd be surprised by surveys of why people buy what they buy because of a certain look that makes the mind like something. If you put a Colorado, Dodge medium truck and a Tacoma in front of me I'd go with Tacoma.

Not only is the Colorado UGLY, it is ergonomically, the worst GM vehicle I have ever driven. We have one at work and if it needs to be taken somewhere we fight over it because none of us want to drive it.

Beer, it's all about the beer.

I think I'm going to gear up and pull a Rambo raid on D.C. Anyone wanna join me?

Ranger's are made by Mazda, which Ford has a large stake in.

I remember a friend of mine had a Ford Courier back in the day. They were made by Mazda as well so I see that relationship. I also remember the Chevy Luv truck being made by Isuzu. Ironically the diesel engine in my Chevy truck is made by Isuzu so I guess there's still ties with the 2 co.'s.

At one time the Chevy Luv and the Isuzu Pup were pretty much carbon copies until Chevy started calling their Luv's S-10's. I worked for a co. that had a Isuzu Pup diesel and I swear if you filled it up it seemed like 4ever and a week before it needed more fuel. We need some of those trucks back.

Is Schaefer beer still around up in the NE ?

I don't have a problem with buying foreign beer, when it is marketed as a foreign beer. I just enjoyed a Spaten Optimater from Germany. No, the problem I have is a foreign company trying to sell their foreign owned brand as though it were American... America's Beer, American Ale, America's Lager! Give me a break! I don't care if every ounce of it is brewed in the USA, by US citizens, using US ingredients, shipped via US truck... we all know where the profits are going!

Not sure where the profits go, but I do know the beer eventually goes down the urinal.

The company I work for has 3 Chevy trucks 2 have just over 100 thousand miles 1 about 85 thousand all of them are falling apart. I have a Honda with over 200 thousand I drive it every day. Everyone loves Wal-mart 70% of the product in Wal-mart are made in China.

I work part-time at Home Depot, and a majority of our products are made in China. Sad, but true.

I HATE Wal-Mart. I will go out of my way & spend more money just to avoid Wal-Mart most of the time.

Sam Walton must be turning in his grave to see his vision of "We only sell products made in American" gone to hell in a Chinese handbasket.

And speaking of grave turning,,I'd say Walt Disney is turning over also, seeing some'a the things they're do'n at Disney.

One of my great friends is a manager for Wal-mart and has worked for the company 35 years. Sam was the one that started bring most of his products from China. To here him talk Sam was no the great American people think he was. Cheryl know the Walton’s next time we see you she can tell you some great stories.

I know first hand how bad the sale of AB sucks. DH works for them.

All of us - whether you work for them, or enjoy their products - are struggling with this. An American Icon, one of the greatest....ugh.

Please continue to enjoy AB products....there are still families in America that depend on you doing so.

I have never been able to tolerate AB products. Half way through my first beer I get a headache. This doesn't happen to me with other beers or ales, just AB products. (Okay - except Michelob - but I don't care for the taste of that.)

Isn't Schlitz still American owned?
