Budget?

Has anyone ever stayed at a WDW Hotel and needed to pick up a car from Budget at The Doubletree (Downtown Disney Hotel)? I'm wanting to p/u a car from there and wasn't so sure how it would work. I was thinking maybe I'd have to take a bus to DTD, walk over to the desk at the Doubletree Hotel? The reason I'm thinking this is because I want Budget.....we'd like to rent a car to take over to the port (DCL Cruise). Please advise if anyone has done this, or if they just think I'm loosing my mind!

I haven't done it from a Disney resort, but I have picked up a car at the Doubletree before. As long as you have a reservation, it shouldn't be a problem.

And yes, you could easily take a bus to the Downtown Disney marketplace and walk to the Doubletree. It's about a 15-20 minute walk.
