I was watching a special awhile back on the person that created Spanx. I was surprised to find out that the original Spanx and the ones they are sell at Target are the same thing. It's similar to other companies that produce not only name brand items but also store brand specific items as well.

I love the DIS! Since it is for vacation I'm going to go with the Target brand. Thank you for the reviews! I haven't noticed a need for them in my everyday life (my jeans and skirts fit), but I haven't had on my nicer dresses in awhile. I haven't been watching what I eat or keeping up with my work-outs for the past several months. I'm still on the small side but I let things get away from me and now I'm getting back to my normal eating and exercising habits - it's amazing what an eye opener it is when some of your favorite clothes no longer fit! But, for right now I need some control in the tummy and bottom areas so I'll try on the different styles at Target. The "muffin top" must be avoided! I cannot afford new clothes for this trip, but I can afford the Target Assets!
