Budget rental help!

We have a rental from budget that is being dropped off at doubletree by downtown disney, looks like they open at 8 am.hubbyis going to catch the downtown disney bus back to the contemporary or meet us at our 9 am breakfast res at the GF if he will get there in time......has anyone done this??? I don't think the DD buses start til 0830?
