Hi all.............I must have 50 boxes of Jello ( they were actually paying me to buy them a few weeks back) so I'd like some quick easy recipes ..............I think I have every flavor they make:rotfl2:

You could make Jello Popsicles but it's kind of cold for that right now.

My favorite jello salad is Blueberry Cream Jello Salad. It would be good to make for a potluck or meal at this time of year.

At least jello lasts a while, so you won't have to use it all now. That's a lot of jello!

I made a dessert on Thanksgiving that was great...

I sliced up strawberries on the bottom of a pie plate. I made pudding with water instead of milk on the stove, after the 5 minutes of stirring I added the jello and poured the mixture over the strawberries and let it set.

that's alot of jello LOL
My friend who sadly passed on made a delicious pretzel/jello dish. I found this on Cooks.com that sounds just like hers

STRAWBERRY PRETZEL JELLO SALAD
EDITED - I don't remember my friends jello having the strawberries in it.

2 c. crushed pretzel sticks
3/4 c. melted butter
3 tbsp. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry banana Jello
2 c. boiling water
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries, partially thawed

Mix first three ingredients and press in bottom of a 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees (metal pan) or 325 degrees (glass pan) 8 minutes. Let cool completely. Beat 1 cup sugar and cream cheese. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over pretzels. Mix Jello and water until dissolved. Add strawberries. Stir into Jello, then set aside for 10 minutes. Pour over cheese mixture. Chill.

Jello- Shots

6 ounces Jello (large package)
16 ounces Water (boiling)
6 ounces Water (cold)
10 ounces Vodka
Mix the jello mix with the boiling water until the powder is fully dissolved and add the cold water and alcohol. Pour the cooling mixture into either shot glasses or paper cups. Shot glasses are more attractive, but drinker can turn the paper cups inside-out to more easily eat the alcoholic jello.

I like this one. I have had it before. And I DO NOT like jello!

I just made jello jigglers the other day for my kids. I have a tupperware mold that makes animal shapes with them.

I wish we had 50 free boxes though....my kids liked them and I don't buy jello much as I don't like it myself so I never think to actually get it!

Here's a really fun recipe, and it's pretty to look at -

Rainbow Jello

Ingredients: jello, water, sour cream

You can use as many pkgs of jello as you want (and will fit the pan)

Choose colors and flavors of Jello as desired. For each color, dissolve Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Divide in half. To one half, add 3 tablespoons cold water. Pour into 9x13 inch glass pan and refrigerate 1/2 hour. To the second half, add 1/3 cup sour cream, mix until smooth, and keep at room temperature. When clear Jello is set, carefully pour sour cream mixture over it and refrigerate 1/2 hour. Repeat for each color.

You cannot taste the sour cream, it just makes the layer creamy.

My Mom used to make this when we were kids.

1 container small curd cottage cheese
1/2 container Cool Whip
1 box Jello (any flavor, I liked Raspberry)
1 small can crushed pinepple, drained
Mix up and chill

She used to make a cake too. I think it was a basic white cake in a 9x13 pan and when it was cool she'd poke holes in it and pour Jello (not yet set) over the whole thing. Then she'd refridgerate it and serve with Cool Whip. I'll have to ask her for the recipe.

What is it with my mom and Cool Whip?

oohh!!!!!!! I have jello water and sour cream and lots of time to kill (waiting for hot water heater repairman---- haven't had hot water in 5days).....off to try this..........

Here is the ultimate EASY and CHEAP jello recipe:

Whipped Jello
3 oz. box jello
8 oz. Cool Whip

Make the jello according to the box instructions, except only add 3/4 cup of cold water (instead of 1 full cup). Refrigerate for about 45 minutes just to thicken the jello liquid a bit. Put the jello and the Cool Whip in blender and blend until smooth. Should sit in frig for a few hours before serving.

I get asked ALL THE TIME to bring this to family gatherings. I never have leftovers to bring home. It disappears quickly. :)
