This is the plan (it's VERY) basic so far.

Morning escape wedding at sea breeze point.
Lunch in private space/private dining room at a restaurant somewhere in disney (for 11 adults, 3 children, 3 babies).

Possibly - fireworks cruise for the adults at night

Ball-park of how much this will cost. I just read that there is a $10,000 minimum for wishes events starting before 2pm. So I'm wondering if I am going to be very close to this and should just plan it as a wishes event. I'm sort of hoping the answer is NO..because $10,000 looks like a big bill..but if I'm going to spend it anyway...and my planner can help, then I'd go "wishes". Are there going to be add ons that I will end up paying for, but I could just include in a "wishes" minimum?

Thanks for the input.

The Wishes minimum for 2010 is $12k for Mon-Thurs, I'm not sure how this will change for 2011 but I think the $10k is old information.

I think it all depends on what you want. For Escape, you will have to add on things like the lunch or fireworks cruise. There may be restrictions on how long the reception can be, not sure if that would matter to you. But the good thing is there are no food and drink minimums to meet.

For the number of people you have, unless you want to add a lot of extras, like the carriage, decor, etc. I'm not sure if you would meet that minimum for a lunch event ...but I know there are a few brides on here that struggled with the same decision so I'm sure they could give you some more insight.

Good luck in your planning!

thanks pezz. I just found the $10,000 on the pricing page for disney. It's something about morning and lunch receptions on certain days having a lower minimum. If anyone knows anything about this, let me know!
Thanks.

Yup it's true u can do the $10,000 everyday of the wk as long as u do either a 9,10,12 o'clock ceremony and ur reception ends before 2. I was in boat as u having a hard time deciding on escape or wishes. That really depends on how much upgrades u want. I want the Cinderella coach n we r doing the MK epcot in park shoot and those pretty much added up close to $10,000. Hope this helps! popcorn::

A fireworks cruise would not count towards your Wishes minimum.

What you want should come in under $10K.

Unless you will be adding some serious extras, it might be "difficult" to get to the 12k minimum, especially with only 11 adults having lunch.

Of course you can get some big ticket items like having the MK/Epcot photoshoot, or the carriage. You also would need to find out if your lunch would go towards your minimum (our dinner at Ohana wouldn't count so we just went with the Escape)

Have you tried the calculator?

Also remember that your 12K minimum is before taxes and services charges are added on so the final bill will be a bit more!! ;)

Honestly an Escape package is a really good deal. You still get the annual passes, floral (for you and groom), champagne, photography, violinist, and cake. If I had fewer people I'd definitely consider it. Even though with the add-ons you may spend close to a Wishes minimum, if you add up everything seperately for the Wishes, it may be even more.
