budget Las Vegas

Excalibur starts at $24 a night. Nice location. Clean.

Hooters Casino can be had for $19 a night. Nice, clean.

I wouldn't recommend Hooters--it used to be San Remo. It was okay as San Remo, but began declining a year or so before Hooters acquired it. Tends to be very noisy.

If you decide on Excalibur, spring for the upgraded, renovated Tower rooms. The old ones have horrendous mattresses--and I'm one who rarelu complains about anything! *LOL*

Flamingo is in an excellent location on the Strip--about mid-point. It's pretty easy to move north and south on the Strip from there.

If you want to go to Downtown Las Vegas--or just explore the Strip but ye olde feet are tired, buy a one-day pass on the Deuce. You can enter and exit as many times in 24 hours as you choose. And go to the Bay City Diner at the Golden Gate Hotel (downtown on Fremont Street). It's at the west end of Fremont Street. At least, I think it's west! It's the farthest end of Fremont Street from where the Deuce drops you off. Excellent diner food--particularly breakfast, which is served all day! :)
