Budget hotel in Rochester, NY

We have a wedding next month in Rochester, NY. Can anyone recommend a budget hotel in the area?

I would recommend the Homewood Suites, it is outside the City of Rochester but right off of Route 390 and it is pretty centrally located.

There is also the Doubletree which is again right off of Route 390 and also the Holiday Inn Airport again right off 390.

It all depends on where the wedding is taking place. The three I mentioned are close to the expressways and easy to find. Some of the other hotels are a little cheaper but are a little harder to get to. HTH

Can you tell me where it is specifically?

I think we can likely get you better budget-wise than the others listed (as pp mentions, knowing where it is specifically). In the greater Rochester area - you could be 40 or so minutes from your wedding site if you are attending on the east side but stay on the west.

Did the bride do a block of rooms at a hotel? Rochester is a fantastic city but like all cities there are places you may not want to stay.

DD is going to college in Rochester. Where DON"T I want to stay? We already made reservations for Meliora weekend and it was a crap shoot where to stay since I don't know the area well and we usually stay at the Staybridge Suites across the river from campus.

Meliora weekend looks like a U of R thing....

I have never stayed here so check reviews, but location looks good and price looks very reasonable:

My guess is that this hotel is about 5 - 10 minutes from any U of R location.
