We are taking our son to WDW for the first time in Sept and I'm trying to plan our budget, and I thought I could use some suggestions....we have our reservations (paid for finally, after that fiasco!) we got the DTD courtyard deal for the week, staying Sunday-Saturday (@200, we are staying Friday nite at reg price), our plane tickets came to 468.00 for all 3 of us, we have yet to get the park tickets... I was wondering about other costs that i'm overlooking? the car from the airport, we plan on taking a town car to stop at the grocery store for snacks, etc. and meals? We are planning on doing mostly counter food, probably a character breakfast, maybe one sit down meal? I know there is a price list on food, I'll have to check that out. Are the counter service meals enough to share w/my son as well? He's not a great eater! :D I'm just trying to make sure we aren't overlooking anything...thanks in advance!

Most of the counter service meals are enough unless you are a big eater. For DW, DD and I, we always just get one adult meal and one kids meal and split everything and are usually satisfied.

You can see menus and prices for food in the parks @ wdwig.com under the "dining" section.

How about tips for towncar driver, curbside checking at airports if you use that, bellman at hotel if you get help with luggage, etc.? Tips can really start to add up, so it's good to plan for it.

Sounds like you've done an excellent job already of planning a terrific trip while watching the ol' budget. Have a super time! :D

My suggestion is to skip the towncar and rent a car. It might cost a few $$ more to rent the car but you get flexibility with the rental to go to off-site restaurants and the food cost savings will offset your rental car cost. Shop around, you should be able to get a compact for $99/wk or so. Mousesavers.com ususally has good codes for savings.
