Budget Fastbreak/Costco Question

Thanks for the tip. The cost difference makes me want to take the risk again.
I just did it about 10 days ago, myself 😂. An extra hour or so saved me about $140, and that's more than I make, so it was worth it to me. As long as you go in knowing that there will be some level of pain, it's usually manageable. The staff is pretty good IMHO; it's the system (management) that causes all the hassle.

Well I took the risk only to end up with another budget nightmare. Arrived at airport around 11:45pm. There was a line at the budget counter. However the line was moving quickly because they didn’t have any cars left!!! We were given the choice to Uber to our location and then Uber back before noon and budget would reimburse us for the Uber or we could wait at the airport until about 4am when they should have some cars. Never again no matter what the cost.

I have been checking every day. My 10 day Budget rental is down to $517 at the lowest point. Yesterday morning I also reserved Alamo for $588. Yesterday afternoon the Alamo rate was back up to $729, over the past week Budget has gone back up to high 600's also. I have a week to decide, flying in next Saturday morning. Will probably just go with the Alamo because of how much I dislike Budget at MCO.

I went back to MCO to pick up my car that wasn't available when I flew in the night before. Stood in line for 2 hours. Got to the counter and got charged twice the rate of when I booked the car. The agent said there was nothing he could do and I would have to call the 800 number to get it adjusted. When I returned the car 6 hours later my bill was $223 on a rental that I booked for a total of $64. And they owe me $95 in uber and lyft fees. I was in Orlando for less than 24 hours - 5 hours of that was dealing with the rental car. I walked past that counter 3 times this weekend and every time there were over 100 people in line. No other rental counter was like that.
