My Dh just signed up for fast break. I think I saw on here that you cannot go out to the garage and pick up your keys the first time you use it. Is this true? It does not say anything about that on the reservation so I am just making sure.

Yes, usually you'll need to complete you first reservation at a counter. That said, if you're referring to MCO, MCO is a FastBreak Counter location, not a FastBreak Choice location, so you'll need to go to the counter anyway.

I have a Fastbreak card and have never stood at the counter. I just go right out to the garage, pick up my car,and away we go!!!!!

Definitely go to the kiosk in the garage. We did this our first time - the Budget counter in the airport had a HUGE line. We asked someone at the airport and they told us to go to the garage. Zip.....got there, 2 people ahead of us and .....off we went in our car.

I'm adding DH as an additional driver and using Fastbreak for the first time. I assume I have to go to counter inside to do this. Any experience with add'l driver?

Just used for the first time last week. Go to ground transport/rental car area in terminal at MCO and go right across street to 2ndflr BUDGET signs(very visible). I checked in w/lady in garage counter, my minivan was waiting. All I did was give my name, show my license, declined the fuel option and off I went..........easy!
Also, spouse is included as addt'l driver and they did not ask for his license...as it turned out I ended up doing all the driving anyway since I am used to minivans(yes, sad but true - HA!HA!)

Wow, I figured they'd want DH's license info. Thanks for sharing!! 16 days and counting!!!!!

Great! Thanks for the info! I am glad we don't have to stand in the line at the airport. The garage option is always soooo nice.

We went right out to the kiosk in the garage when we used it for the 1st time this past May!

I thought I read on the Budget site that in order to maintain Fastbreak status you needed to rent a car at least three times in a year from them. When we visit Disney with our family we never rent a car. I'm going to Orlando for a conference in June and was thinking of renting a car. I was going to join the Fastbreak deal but what happens if/when I don't rent another car within the next 12 months? Can I rejoin in the future?

Nope, not true. I actually called today to find out about this and the rep said absolutely not! Once you have a FastBreak number, there's no need to go to the counter. Budget has all your info.By the way,my first time using FastBreak,I just went to the garage!

I called today to confirm my reservation and asked about the use of FastBreak for the first time and was told that i needed to check in inside, it sounds like others are saying that this is not an accurate statement and that i should be able to go directly to the garage, has anyone encountered any issues doing this? I will be picking up a minivan tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for your help

Kyle
