I was just looking on Expedia and carhire with Budget is abotu £100 cheaper than everyone else but I have never used them before. Has anyone here used them and what were they like?

What dates and size car?
I have been looking myself at Expedia but not finding them the cheapest, they are £484 & tank of gas, elsewhere I can get £507 incl gas, no fee for cancellation or applying lower rates if released.
With Expedia I am having trouble seeing a cancellation policy, it says "click the View cancellation information link and follow the instructions" but I can't see the link, maybe its after you fill in all booking details.

Used Budget once and had no problems, very nice new people carrier, at that time they were the cheapest I could find by about £75, but be careful that they don't sell you any extras at the desk.

Its for the 31st July till the 17th August, Expedia shows budget as £257 and the next price is for Alamo at £343 for an economy car. I wonder if includes all the insurance needed??? :upsidedow

This what it says about the car:

Air conditioning, automatic transmission, unlimited mileage, Collision & Damage Waiver, Theft Protection, Third-Party Liability Insurance, City/Airport Surcharges, Road Tax, VAT/Tax, Additional Liability Insurance for the U.S. and Canada.
Hyundai Accent or similar, 5 adults, 1 large suitcase, 1 small carry-on, 4 doors

Seems to be best price around. Just slightly cheaper with 121 or Argus but personally I would go with Expedia, I have used them no problem, never used the other 2.

Do a search thru here to show cheapest http://www.quidco.com/carrentals-co-uk/ It will give you 7% cashback on any of them.
If you use Expedia they have their own link for 6.9% cashback, again I have used this no problem. http://www.quidco.com/expedia/

Expedia are fully inclusive, includes everything you need, you just have to pay for a tank of gas on arrival (or I had with Alamo, not checked Budget)

Just got around to checking the fuel policy. You don't have to pay at the desk on arrival like you do with Alamo, we had to pay for a tank before we could take the car, thankfully I had read T&C's so knew this.

Budget/Expedia Refuelling policy
The car is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full to avoid paying a refuelling charge.

Alamo/Expedia Refuelling policy
The car is supplied with a full tank of fuel, paid for at commencement of rental. There is no refund for unused fuel.
