I have used Circle E candles for years now and I love them, they last a long time and have a strong smell, but they're pricey. I've tried a couple of little cheap ones, but their scents were so weak. Does anyone have any suggestions of good ones that are not as expensive? I was going to try the Glade ones but they're so small, I thought maybe the Circle E may not be so expensive after all, if you compared them by size? Any suggestions appreciated!

Instead of burning them, use a plug in mug warmer. The wax melts but doesn't burn and jar candles last nearly forever! You may lose the wick in the melted wax so sometimes you can't burn them again, but you can melt them over and over!

Thanks! Is there a brand or particular place to get them? I've never heard of them.

This is what they look like. You can get them at Joann, Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc. Some even have auto shut off.

I bought my mug/candle warmer at wal-mart for $5 and I just use the little glade candles. I even get coupons for them. They last forever and people always comments on how great my house smells.

I've seen the candle warmers at Goodwill an yard sales which is where I got all of mine.

You can get them online through Scentsy. The refills (melts) are just $5.00 per bar. PM me if you would like to know more ;)

You are talking about a tart warmer. The previous poster was suggesting to buy a coffee mug warmer and place a jar candle on top of it. It warms the candle and melts the wax releasing the scent without having to burn the candle.

I am addicted to candles, but hate the price. I have begun purchasing the small tarts from an online company called CrossCreek Candle Company or The Spotted Hog candle company. They are cheap $2, for a large tart, which I then cut in half and burn in a tart warmer ($5 at walmart in the candle section) with a tealight. It smells up the downstairs and for that price, I buy a few different scents at a time and change them up. I can reburn each tart 5-7 nights and still smell them--then when you're done, put it in the freezer, pops right out.

Are you saying you use the glade candles instead of the mug warmer or you put the glade candles inside of it? If they last much longer, I'll definitely try this route. I haven't seen any coupons for Glade, I'll look on their website and see if I can get some.
Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone!

I went to the candle section at Wal-mart and they had candle warmers which look almost exactly like the mug warmer above. I then just plug it in and set my glade candle on top of it. I turn it off/on as needed. It works perfect. I do lose the wick as the candle melts but I never burn them. I just keep it on my kitchen counter and can't believe how great it is. When I think the smell has gone enough I just buy a new candle. Hope this helps.

I'm a former Circle E addict :goodvibes

That all changed when I discovered Bath and Body Works fragrance oils! The scent is much stronger than the candles and I've stocked up during their sales so now my cabinet looks like the B&BW store shelf!

When I don't get to Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy the Yankee Candles on clearance, I buy my candles from Walmart. I really like their candles because they're strong. Kohls has some nice strong candles too. They're around $5 for a 16 oz. jar on sale.

How long do candle scents last? bought some at AC moore 3 for $10. The scent didn't last very long.

Some do last longer than others 1 Trick is to keep candle covered when not using.Which iis why I like the jarred with lid candles. Most of those has lasted long time even the little 1.00 ones from Walmart.
