Budget Buster Fire. Best place for flooring, paint etc

We had a kitchen fire this week. The cleaners are coming today and then we have to start the process of remodeling the kitchen/living room. We are definately on a budget as between the deductible and my husband being off work unpaid because of burns suffered in the fire, money is going to be a little tight for awhile. However, I don't want super cheap flooring that will get destroyed early or crappy paint.

Just looking for recommendations on places to shop for somewhat discount remodeling supplies.

I'm so sorry about the fire, and hope you dh will feel better soon.

If I were shopping for flooring, I'd go with a local place. I remember when we were building, our builder told us to go with XXXXXXXXXXX (local place) if we ever wanted to swap out the flooring. He said they were really affordable and did good work.

Is there a realtor, builder, or someone in the trades who you know? That's exactly the type of person I'd ask for recommendations.
