Budget BUNCO dinner ideas?

It's my month to have Bunco. In our group we always make dinner for the group. Does anybody have any easy budget ideas for 8-12 people. TIA

I served baked ziti, tossed salad, and good bread last month - I got lots of compliments, and it wasn't a budget buster

I was also going to mention pasta. Pasta goes a long way, and it would be fairly inexpensive to feed that many people. Costco makes a decent frozen lasagna, and you could make a big bowl of spaghetti, garlic bread and make your own Caesar salad. Plus, pasta goes great with red wine and I know Bunco gals like to drinkie!

You could do pulled pork sandwiches in the crock pot. I just use the McCormick seasoning packet...it is delicious and pretty affordable. I'd serve it with a salad and some brownies for dessert. I just get tired of pasta.

You could also do a taco bar...serve the meat in the crock pot. Or a baked potato bar.

Thanks for the great ideas... now I'll just look at the grocery adds tomorrow and figure out if italian, taco, or barbeque stuff is on sale and go from there.

I made Cuban food for bunco once and it was a huge hit.

Black beans and rice
Ropa Vieja (like a shredded beef dish - PM for the recipe if you want it)
French bread if you can't get real Cuban Bread
Mojitos -not budget, but after you drink one you won't care
