We usually fly into MCO and know that like the back of our hands but TPA not so much.

Got a good price for PVD to TPA saving $500.00 for six. Got a Grand Caravan at Budget for $645 for 15 days. Now the questions, where is Budget at TPA, how do I use Fastbreak, any thing else I should know about picking up and dropping of the van? Such as how much time do I plan on for the drop off? How is Budget?

TIA,

Rich

I fly into Tampa every week for work, and used Budget for many years until my company switched to Avis (go figure, they're 2 parts of the same company.) Ground transportation in Tampa is super easy to find, but they have 2 different zones (Red or Blue) depending on which airline you flew in on (and listed on your reservation.)

Generally though, when you get off your plane, you have to take the shuttle train back to the main terminal from whatever concourse you flew in to (A - F). After getting off the train, you take the escalators down to baggage claim for your airline. There are signs pointing you to the rental cars, which are located in the garage across the street from baggage claim. The main rental counters for non-express people are all in a row, and there is a sign telling you where to go in the garage to get to the budget Fastbreak counter. On the red side it's now on the 2nd floor with the Avis desk (used to be on the 3rd floor.) Can't tell you for sure where it is on the blue side. If you come out on the red side and are a Fastbreak member, you can walk to the left in front of the counters, then follow the sidewalk beside the counters to the parking garage elevators and take the elevator to floor 2. The Budget/Avis counter is around to the left.
