Buddy list question **mystery solved, page 2**

I have a fairly long buddy list, maybe 40+ ( grown over the years, easy to use for PM's and that). Yesterday, earlier, it was normal (normal meaning all the names I usually have were there). Last night, late (we were out late with friends) when we returned home, I went to send a PM. Went to use my buddy list, only 4 names on it. I thought it was a just another normal 'board bug' (though a new one to me) and figured it would be fine in the AM. I checked now, still the same 4. I lost maybe 35 or so buddy names I had there.

I did post the question a bit ago on the Tech board, but am here also, wondering if any others have had any changes in their buddy lists yesterday?

I don't have a long list, but as far as I can tell, everyone is present and accounted for (you included!! )

I didn't have a change to my buddy list (I have none) but when I logged in this morning a couple of ads had been put into my sig. Very strange.

Perhaps they were all banned??? Stranger things have happened...maybe it was a mass banning!!

Hmmmm, strange. I just looked again, same 4, all the other are gone. Maybe that is my allotment of buddies, LOL. I feel, well, almost 'buddyless'.

Gee I don't know Dan....I never bothered to add anyone to my buddy list. But from what I understand there have been several that have been banned lately so maybe that could be part of it. Then again maybe it is a new rule or something that you are only allowed a certain number....who knows these days??????? I am not a real major player here and not one of the popular ones so I just never have even looked at that!! Wish I could help you out. Can you add the names back or is that not being able to happen?

That's not good, looking up someone's exact user name (especially ones with numbers, I can never remember the numbers) to PM them is a real pain. I hope you get them back without having to hunt each one down.

Well, I did just try to add one, it would not. So, maybe a reboot (I rarely turn off or reboot), might jolt something lose. Strange.

I guess fortunately for me, all of mine are there (at least as far as I can tell). Sorry some of yours was lost!

Just rebooted, back again. Still only 4, and tried to add, can't. And earlier yesterday, as for the banned ones, yes, there were a few who had been and they were still there, but now those, along with most are gone. Hey, maybe I have an exclusive status here, no more buddies allowed, LOL.

I feel "buddyless" too but that's because I've never put any in there. Never really knew what that was for?

Thanks for bringing this up Dan. I haven't been to my buddy list in probably 6 or more months. Since the board change, it really serves me no purpose anymore.

All of mine were still there, in fact, I had to remove some since they've been long gone from here!
