Did anyone see the Sara Evans concert yesterday? I bet that was a pretty good show! She had several big hits last year and SW did well to get her booked. Were the crowds just as large as the Sugarland concert?

Saw the concert yesterday. Her concert was really good and she definitely draws in the crowd. The stadium was full; but not full like it was with Sugarland. We almost decided to stay home because here on the coast it was raining pretty hard. We got there around noon, ate and lined up for the concert by 1. There was no way my husband was going to miss being in the firsts groups they let in. We ended up 5th row next to the middle section which was totally roped off. It was cool out. I wore a sweater and a fleece jacket and at times was still sort of cold when the wind blew. It started sprinkling during her last song, so she went right to the encore without leaving the stage. There was a pretty good shower not long after the concert ended.
I would guess the park was pretty empty during the concert. I would also say most people left soon after the concert. The line at Voyager was pretty short at 6:30 and the place was almost empty by the time we finished eating. It was again walk on at Kracken with most people staying on to ride over and over if no one was waiting.
Jack Hanna was there yesterday, too. His first show was at 12:30 and after being in such a long line for Sugarland last week we opted to line up for the concert instead. The other shows were at 2:30 and 4:30 so pretty much if you went to the concert you did not see Jack Hanna.
From the time the concert ended until the Believe Show at 7:30 there were no shows offered anywhere in the park. We ended up just walking around the park and going in the back way to see the animals in Arctic Adventure. But all in all the day was great!

RabFlmom, thank you again for the detailed concert report!!! I love reading about the shows. It's good to hear that the harder rain decided to wait until the end of the concert. Did they let people into the stadium around 2:30pm again like the previous week? It sounds like you got pretty good seats (5th row), but I wonder why they had the center section roped off. Anyway, thanks again for letting us know about the concert. It's much appreciated!!!

Yes, they started allowing people in at 2:30. They left about 50 in at a time from each side of the stadium to keep people from stampeding in to get seats. Not sure who all the people were who had the center front row seats. Maybe fan club? But they weren't wearing the T-shirts etc. like last year. Maybe people who won tickets to see the show from the radio station? I know her family was there, but they were up higher sort of seperated by empty rows from the rest of the roped off area. They definitely klet people from going into the area or even standing in the aisle near the boys.
2 more concerts to go, but don't think we will make it to them-not really too interested and think I will wait for the oldies concerts at EPCOT, now<g>
