Buckle your seatbelts

I know most of us would never get in our personal car without buckling up, but people get in cabs and shuttle vans all the time without fastening the seat belt (I know, I have done it)

A few weeks ago at the US National Figure Skating championships one of the skaters and her family were in an accident with a minivan cab. The skater's mother was fatally injured. Some of the accident reports indicated that she might not have been wearing a seat belt. I don't know if a seat belt would have made a difference or if she was wearing one, but it was a reminder.

PS: If you get in a cab or van that the seat belts are broken report it to the agency. I made a fuss about that very thing last week. They are required to have working seat belts.
