Buckeye joins DVC at BCV!!

I finally bit the bullet and joined the DVC at BCV today!!! After much hem hawing and procrastination, I just couldn't get a quote from Walt Disney out of my head and that was the clincher. Walt's quote:

"People may forget what you say or do but they will never forget how you made them feel."

That basically sums it up. When my family goes to Disney.....I just get overcome with joy. My daughters are 6 and 9 and my wife and I have been taking them to WDW since they were toddlers. Watching them progress from Dumbo and being afraid of Goofy to hugging every character in site and now riding most of the "big" rides has created a lifetime of memories already. My friends and family think we're Disney freaks. Guilty.

I can't wait for our first trip home.

Sorry for getting sentimental and thanks to all of you for being so helpful. I look forward to many conversations on this board.

Excellent post. The story is the same here. I have experience very similar things with my daughters 11 and 8.

I'm from Ohio.
Maybe it is an Ohio thing.

Great quote from Walt Disney, and so true. The memories we make last a lifetime. We just joined a couple days ago. My wife and I felt it just was the right thing to do for our family now and for the future.

I hope our families have many great memories there!

For us, the biggest pay-off of annual WDW trips is the bond it has forged in our family...Even though DS is now 16 (and 6'0" !!), he still looks so forward to our trips. He collects rubber magnets all year and reads these boards and loves the family atmosphere of WDW. He was so excited that the 'Bwana Bob' merchandise stand was back at Adventureland this June. We have a pix of him there every year since he was 2 !

We looked at our BCV purchase as part of the legacy we will leave to him (of course, they'll have to drag me out kicking - even when I'm 90!)
