Not sure where to find it if sold at Epcot. Ever see it at Malls or other sites.
I never heard of it and dd is looking for this item. SO I am clueless unless DISers have heard of it.

Never seen it before on property anywhere. Its just a drink, it's really not worth going all over Orlando to find.

It's at lots of places here, from kind of dedicated bubble tea/drink type tiny shops to regular shops that also serve bubble tea. Becaue, as the previous poster said, it's just a drink, it's not necessarily something you'd notice someone sold if you weren't looking for it.

I'd ask at the closest local Chinese places. Or the closest local place that offers mochi ice cream might also have it, though mochi is japanese, lots of times a place that sells one will sell the other (unless it's like gourmet mochi).

My best guess would be to look at the Japan store. You might be able to get some mix or something that you can make the Bubble Tea with.

Basically it is a sweet milk tea with tapioca beads in it. You can also make bubble tea at home if you're feeling ambitious!

I've had it here in PA, specifically at Assi Plaza in North Wales. It's a Korean market and they have a food court there. I think what I had was a mango smoothie type of thing, and it had the tapioca balls in it. It was good, but weird at the same time. I think it would be really odd for people with texture issues. You don't swallow the balls- you have to chew them. They are gelatinous, tasteless little things. Not bad, but weird! I was with my friend who knows a lot about the Korean culture and she introduced me to this bubble tea thing. She warned me to be careful not to choke on the "bubble"...so you suck it up- here it comes...and then you need to be sure you chew before you swallow.

They have chocolate bubble tea, in China, where there quick service food is.

Oh, dear, I am SO ready for Bubble Tea! It's a seasonal drink where I live, and it's so wonderful...

Don't think it's caught on big here yet, at least haven't seen it at our malls. However, in are area, the Asian/Japanese/Chinese restaurants serve it.

Here's a cool 'Tea-One' video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbR8I9r9uI0&feature=related and you can youtube to see how to make it.

If it's not a thing I wouldn't expect it to be - it was a 'new' thing like... a decade or more ago?

If there aren't shops that sell it in your area, I'd stick to just asking in the Chinese restaurants/area or etc. as others have suggested. Wouldn't think there'd be some shops cropping up to wait for.

Your local Chinese restaurant may have it on menu. It is a menu staple pretty much everywhere around here in Asian cuisine restaurants. There used to be some only bubble tea storefronts but those have closed down.

Bubble tea was a bit of a craze about 5 -7 years ago but it has died down. It certainly isn't something I'd drive all over to find.

Do you mean they sell chocolate bubble tea at the quick service restaurant in the China pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot? I hope that's what you mean!! I can get bubble tea across the street from my office, but I would LOVE to get it at Disney World!!!

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. :thumbsup2

I initially thought "geez, what does she think I meant??" Then I read my response.

YES! China in Epcot! :)

I don't see it on here, but we just had it in February - and several times prior. I know they have it. ~ http://allears.net/menu/men_lbc.htm

I can corroborate. I've had bubble tea at Lotus Blossom Cafe (counter service at Epcot's China pavilion) as well.

I was pretty sure it was what you meant, but I wanted to make sure, in case I was reading into it what I wanted it to say! I am definitely getting bubble tea on my next visit!! Thank you!! (I've also been to HK Disneyland a couple of times, but haven't seen it there, so either China would have been good for me! :goodvibes)

Thank you 4nanna, and for the tips about Japan quick serve. I found a wonderful desert myself in Norway Rice-cream. Kind of a tapioca pudding not real icecream, and has the little balls. So sweet, oh I really love it.

Marcy we are going to Phila soon, maybe down in the area of the Market. Is it the Asian market I am thinking of down by the geno's steak shop?

DD is just crazy about the fresh odd veggies and teas, odd to me of course. I had never heard of it before she asked if my Dis friends may know where to locate.
:hippie: :thumbsup2

I know where I'M GOING TONIGHT!:thumbsup2

LOL I wished she inquired while we were there 2 weeks ago, I actually stopped in that service and got egg roles while she waited for the Mulan character greet.
I guess that try will wait a few months for a birthday trip. In the mean time, I will check at the market or someplace to eat in Phila. Up here in rural mountains of PA would be a strange find. We just got a shushi place and I never went into it.
:cheer2:

This, heh, I'm one that thinks it's gross.

Don't get me wrong, lots of people love the stuff; I know plenty of people all 'ooh, boba shop!' and I hope your daughter enjoys it when you find her some! I'm not saying it's bad or anything in a general sense.

Just personally the texture of it doesn't work for me. I don't like flavoured beverages to begin with or much slimy stuff. It is one of those things you like or really don't I think.

Assi Plaza isn't in Philly...it's outside of Philly. I think the town is North Wales. It was pretty close to the Trader Joe's- we did both of them in the same day. It's a HUGE supermarket, but is mainly all Asian, and I'd say mostly Korean. Interesting place, if you ever get a chance to go there.
