A while back, there was a thread in which some Central New Yorkers were discussing Transmeridian and our worries about it being a charter airline.

Just wanted to let you know that our family flew TMA twice in the last month. Both trips were VERY last minute--Syracuse to Ft. Lauderdale--direct flight--for under $200 a person (after taxes and fees)! I highly recommend them for this kind of situation. It was great to hop on the plane at 8:15 a.m. and be in Ft. Lauderdale at 11:00 a.m.

It is comforting to hear the good reviews for Transmeridian. I have heard some negative ones but now the majority seems to be very positive.

Just wish their flights to Las Vegas were on better days...oh well.

Barb, I'm desperately trying to personally contact TMA, but the phone number on the website doesn't work for Canada. Do you by chance have another phone number for them. They haven't responded to a fax I sent either. Thanks

I want to fly TMA in June/depart July to WDW. When I get on the website, which menu choice do I pick to get their 5% discount? I went on the IFLYTMA.com only to find it was a homepage for many other choices.
I'm used to a travel agent doing this, so bear with my ignorance.....
Any help would be appreciated!

Just a warning.

I am sure TMA is a decent airline. There are a couple of things you need to know. IF there is a delay for ANY reason TMA is NOT obligated to do anything to assist you. They do not have re-booking agreements with any other airlines nor or they required to as a Charter airline. They will just put you on thier next flight and if it is due to mechanical delays it could take awhile. They will refund you your money if a flight is cancelled.

There have been some other reports that customer service is lacking. I think that is a side effect of being a charter. They probably don't have the infrastructure like a Southwest.

I am not saying you should not fly them, I have no idea and I hear the rates are great. I just think you need to be aware of the trade-offs.
