According to a report on Screamscape they've moved the old Delorian and train outside of the Herc / Xena soundstage. Also, supposedly there has been alot of work going on inside of the soundstage.

I'm a big BTTF fan and my mind is just racing with potential here. How cool would it be for a live stage show or something like that! Anyway, even if it's going to be a meet and greet area I'm still excited as that was one of my favorite rides / movies ever.

I've been reading that too and I'm curious as to what...if anything...will become of that building. They used it as a house at HHN 2004 but haven't since. Should be interesting.

As lame as this might sound, my first thought was "well you've gotta do an Enchantment Under The Sea Dance" live action show.

I dunno, I'm heading up tomorrow and I'll try to get pictures/some more info.

BTTF was my all time fave and that would be great if they did that but you have to take it at face value cause its a rumor and thats all it is for now but it would be great if they did though :goodvibes

Well it's true --they did move the train and car there but I haven't heard about any construction going on.

I know it's cheesy.. but who else would like it to be a nice, airconditionned Universal Studios museum? Universal has a lot of history that's really touched on in the Hollywood park but not at all in the Florida park.

Sorry...but there is something going on:

From Screamscape:
)We’ve got an update about the Herc / Xena building (Soundstage 54) situation and it seems something is indeed going on, though the building itself may not be taken down. Apparently there has been quite a bit of work going on inside the old building and our sources tell us management types have been seen going in and out frequently of late. Meanwhile apparently some fairly new speakers (for park music I assume) have been installed to the outside of the building, which is also a good sign that the building will be staying for the time being. For years the building has mainly been used only by crew member for a number of roles after the shortly lived Herc / Xena attraction closed down. I believe that the last time guests were actually invited into the building was for one of the haunts during Halloween Horror Nights 14 (2004).

That's from 4/15/2008.

Sorry...but there is something going on:

I'm not denying that there is something going on inside the building. I'm just saying that I haven't seen or heard anything. I've only seen the train and car. I cut through that area almost daily and haven't seen any unusual activity but that certainly doesn't mean that nothing is going on. I just haven't seen it yet.

Gotcha. :thumbsup2

This is the most current update on Screamscape for those interested:

Park News - (4/16/08) Okay… one more update on the whole Soundstage 54 business. We’ve now been informed that the Time Train from Back To The Future 3 and one of the Delorean picture cars have now been placed outside the building. Perhaps the area will become the official Meet & Greet area for Doc Brown. Anyone have photos?

I thought I heard a few years ago that the building had somehow been severely damaged by one of the hurricanes that came through and it was no longer safe to be in...guess it may be inaccurate?

Unless the train is now holding it up.

really really REALLY hope they're doing some kind of new BTTF attraction, even if its just a meet and greet area.

BTTF is a major part of the parks history so they really should keep some of that history alive somehow.

although wasnt there a rumour that the train was going to be re themed for harry potter a while ago?

:worship: We hope so too. Something like atribute kind of thing like Lucy.

An engine is in one of the conceptual artist's renderings. No one knows if it is going to be operational or not.

I really wanted our boys to ride BTTF, in fact I didn't even though they had gotten rid of it until I joined the DIS. It is one of there favorite series! Of course, so is HP, so a Platform 9 3/4 to take you around would be awesome!
