BTMRR vs 7DMT (FP selections 1st week of June)

Backstory: it's my mom, dad, my two boys (4.5 and 2yrs), and myself. Strictly speaking of MK; Mom and 2yr old won't be riding any rider switch rides except Mom may do Splash. I'm hoping the 4.5yr old does all that Dad and I except he won't be tall enough for Space. We have roughly 2.5 days in MK with one day being arrival day. We will complete the majority of the drive Friday and will be arriving Saturday from Lake City, FL so my hope is to be in the park by 3pm.

Ok, so I use Touring Plans and have pretty much planned out our MK days (the two full days with rope drop and midday breaks) leaving some of the nighttimes open because one) hours will probably be extended somewhat and two) who knows when we will be ready to throw in the towel and head out for the night. So, Sat 6/4 arrival day at MK starting at 3, Sun 6/5 with CtM and Wishes planned, and Thurs 6/9 with MSEP planned. I planned all these days without BTMRR (bc of the original refurb dates).

So, my delimma: I am not sure I want to change any of my planned FP to BTMRR because I really like our plans. So I added it Saturday night during MSEP or Wishes, rope drop for Sunday (2nd attraction), and during Wishes for Thursday night. We do plan to get a rider swap pass anytime we can because my mom will have to wait with the 2 yr old. I am planning to try for 7DMT FP both Sat and Sun. Again, getting a rider swap pass to use later.

If it were you would you change one of the 7DMT FP to BTMRR (with some tweaks to the plan) or just leave as is?

I'm confused...if your mom isnt riding, you dont need rider swap.

Anyhow, I would keep mine train FP and not trade for BTMRR...

I'd keep Mine Train and plan on BTMRR as a 4th FP on any of your MK days.

Personally, we choose BTMRR over 7DMT because the ride is longer so there's more to enjoy.

Thank you all! Actually I have BTMRR in my plans for everyday with 7DMT only two of the three days. So we will definitely be riding them both. Just trying to figure which is best for FP.

I would definitely keep the 7DMT FP+ for your first day, because I think you want to see how it goes with the 4.5 year old before you would attempt Big Thunder with him. If he doesn't like 7DMT, I'm pretty sure he won't like Big Thunder.

Since 7DMT FP+ is so much harder to get, I would keep those if I were you. You've got a lot better chance of switching them to Big Thunder (if you discover that's what you want) than the other way around.
