BTMRR closed August - Nov

Just saw that the rehab is now being reported as August 8 - Nov 19. We get there on Aug 10th. Oh well, makes me wonder what else will be in rehab during this time?

Well, that stinks. I was planning on being able to see the new effects, now I guess I'll have to wait another year. BTMRR is indeed one of my favorite attractions, so I will miss it quite a bit, but no way around it, we will be there apparently just a few days after it goes down for the refurb.

They wanted to make sure it was open for me! (Until today, I was under the assumption we'd miss it in June)

Where was this information posted?? I checked allears.net and the DIS (which was updated yesterday 2/24) and allears said it would be through July, and I saw no mention of it on the DIS closures and refurbs... we are planning on a fall trip and this is a must for my mom and I, just need to prepare the family now if it's true lol.

Just checked undercover tourist and they too are reporting the refurb April-July and it was updated 2/22.

I was just able to switch a Fast Pass reservation to BTMR for the end of April so it look like they have indeed pushed the closure back.

I too was able to change a fastpass for April 16th to BTMR which was previously unavailable.

We leave the day it's supposed to open back up! One of DD25's fave rides! Anyone know if there's much chance they'll open early by a day or two? Is that something that happens often with ride refurbs or hardly ever?

Luckily there is so much to do in MK, that this won't be a huge deal for us. Plus, on the bright side of things, those of us going Aug-Nov will have Soarin and Frozen. So we have new attractions to look forward to. Imagine going when Soarin and BTMR is closed - 2 favorites! I think more is closed now, than there will be when we go in September... so I am looking at it that way.

This just means a trip in 2017 is in order!

Swiss Family Treehouse and Small World are also listed as closing for refurbishment in July/August til at least mid September on the Touring Plans refurbishment page. We'd rather go on those rides then Soarin/Frozen.
